It seems kinda like JBJ prob started messing with DC and DC felt like he had to go back at him or something. I dunno. Everything I've seen, it seems like no one really hates each other.

Right, I took it as you saying they didn't think cameras were rolling. I don't know. With stuff I've seen and heard I think the hatred is a bit played up. Even the GMA stuff was more like needling, but instead of being between friends, it's just acquaintances that are paid to beat each other up.

They do know a camera was on them tho. I don't know. They prob don't like each other but I think it is as much about just the fact they have to fight each other and stuff. All the trash talking almost seems a bit playful. Even that, it more just trying to get under each other's skin to get a reaction.

i haven't been convinced they really dislike each other quite as much as they play it up. from little i have seen i haven't gotten that vibe and even the way they were going back and forth seemed a bit like an act. obv they got in fight at another press conf or weigh in or whatever it was, but i think they do regret that.

Yes, I understand that I may have been wordy or answering in a context you weren't asking in, but I think I have been pretty consistent, despite distraction and we prob agree on most of this discussion.

But competition has other merits and reasons to cheer and award people. You can still have women only events bc while their results in those events may not compare with men's results, the effort and work they put in is just as impressive and merits the accolades.

No, you keep doing this. You take a specific label and then apply it over a whole society for diff things. Discussing gender and sports and wherever we land does not then apply to gender and work or gender and abuse or gender and anything else except sports.

I just hope they are better at understanding it than you. You didn't see the bigger context of my view and tried to narrow it to specific questions about today. And I'm sorry if I wasn't 100% clear while also managing about 500GB of files from various NYC locations.

Yes. If you are going to split sports do it based on gender biology. If you simply make it about competition none of this really matters but in a lot of these situations people try to make it about bigger social issues and it's not.

Your just crazy or didn't realize that I was not putting my comments in your present day worldview, so you got confused. I prob wasn't always clear either bc I was typing on phone in between other stuff and on subway rides. Gender identification has nothing to do with athletic prowess. You keep misreading stuff.

No, the physiology obv matters in a competitive sense. If you are trying to find the best sprinter in the world, men are going to be at an obvious physiological advantage. The top woman sprinter would place at whatever rank in an open division. Say that was 500th. Since it is more interesting just to let the best women run against each other, we do that. If women ever were able to close that gap somehow, then there would be no need to split the sexes in competition.

This is dumb and only an issue bc we use one label to try to mean things that it doesn't.

Haha. I have said many times itt there is a reason to identify the differences. Some valid some not. Your dismissiveness is amusing bc everything is apparently going over your head. For pure competition let the best compete against the best, no matter the sex. For other reasons let women only compete against women and men against men. We all know any woman who could compete with world class men in whatever sport would. It is just a rare occurrence. My stance is so simple.

My god. What are you trying to accomplish' To get me to say that Jenner and Curry should not compete with women' I said that from the beginning and gave your present day reason for it as well as one based on a pure competitive stand point. I have never thought either should compete with women. It's just not an interesting discussion you are trying to pigeon hole this into. Talking about the end of the human species. Who cares or had has any control over that itt'

Which is what I have said all along. Physiological differences matter, but are trumped by simple competition. There is a reason why Annika wanted to try men's golf and why a D-Leaguer is not pretending to identify as a woman to play in the WNBA. Haven't refused to take any stance.

Sure. Obv if a girl can pitch in little league let her, it doesn't hurt. It depends what the goal is. If it's strictly competition, the let the best compete against each other. It is really simple and that gin tried to make it so complicated and try to set traps or whatever was frustrating and if his goal was to trip me up while I was doing stuff around the city then he wins. If it was actually to understand then he loses.

Gender identity shouldn't really play a role in sports. Gender biology should in some circumstances.

Not straining any muscles, been replying while downloading/uploading files and running around NYC. I don't care and there would be no reason for Stephanie Curry to play in WNBA. So I didn't give the question much thought. You were trying to set the conversation in today's world with its norms, I wasn't bc I went with the OP. You are just stuck.

I am allowed to bring up my feelings about it. Dunno what line you think I drew. I think you tried to make this convo something it never was and kept trying to get it back there. In a more understanding world gender identification has nothing to do with sports. The only reason you think it does is bc we use the simple label of Women's Basketball (or whatever) when it would be more accurate to label it Biological Women's Badketball to achieve the reason. Micheal Jordan could identify as a horse and would still be correctly placed in the NBA.

I don't understand what you are saying. Also respect in the context I am using it, only applies to respect for their view of competition. I think most all would agree with what I'm saying. A world class level athlete may for personal reasons choose to only compete in town wide events and they may have a very legitimate reason for it. I would be ok with that, but after that person wins 100 straight town events, I would assume most citizens in town would really be goi big for 2nd place and that would be completely respectful for lots of reasons.

Don't really know or care how physiology will change or not. I don't find your question that interesting and not well suited for this thread or the conversation I was trying to have but since you are stuck on it. What we are really doing when we have men compete against men and women against women is creating subdivisions of competitors to enhance the competition and allow more people to compete. The subdivision is based on biology and physiology, not what gender the competitor identifies with. So it does not go with the spirit of the completion or the distinction of the chosen ...

That is a question for today's world, not a future one. In today's world i would have no respect for someone who could possibly compete at top level (read - usually men's division). I would respect the competitor who takes the challenge over the easy win. I think the smart fan would agree.

No I said it would make no sense for Jenner to do it bc it serves no competitive purpose and any true competitor would want to compete against the best they could.

I'm not tho, you just need to think I am for you to keep trying to make a point. Where have I changed anything. Competition should be for competition sake. If a division of people want to sort out who is best among them let them. The most interesting will always be worlds best.
