Re:Winning sng players...... over the last few weeks i have broken even over 1000 sngs on full tilt, even though the games have been so soft lately. i had experienced bad downswings in the past but this is just horrible, im stuggling to win a hand. basically, it is always possible to run worse than you previously thought..... and still be a winning player in the long term. Re(2): turbo question you cant expect to make much money playing $3 tables, it looks like your doing pretty well though murondubs. play as many tables as u can....... im sure it doest take a great deal of thought to beat $3 sngs. then you can move up and improve your hourly wage. if u want to keep the variance lower then stick to the single tables Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): turbo question still grinding them because i can average close to 2k profit a week playing them (6 man sngs). i do plan on moving up, and am definatey way over rolled for the $36s. i do cash out a large proportion of what i make though. my current plan is to grind the $36s until i get to about $28k on sharkscope, then probably exlusively play $60s for a while (hopefully around the begginning of april). im up 5k in february so far playing the $36s so pretty content grinding for now. on the subject of downswings, ive had some pretty brutal ones at the $36s. biggest is probably a bit over 1k in a day, and at ... Re(5): 10 dollar single table sngs high volume players should have 100 buy ins at least imo. i have had 40 buy in downsings many times before (even though i am a consistent winner). your probably not a high volume player so 50 buy ins should be fine. 30 is not enough imo. good luck Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): turbo question usually 6, sometimes 8 if im in the mood for realy grinding. occasionally i will only play 4-5 though. it just depends on how i feel i guess. we have played before xsd87x! your actually one of the few good players ive seen at my tables. most of the winning players in the $36 and $60s are terrible lol (as are the losing ones obv). how many tables for u' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): turbo question well put..... turbo sngs are a goldmine. although it is true that better players have a smaller edge in turbo sngs than regular ones, you can put in much greater volume and therefore make more $/hr. ive been putting in pretty good volume in 2008 on ftp, and it sure has been rewarded... Re(3): Need advice on breakning out of DOWNSWINGs changing site definately helps. also, try playing less games at a time. you might notice some surprising leaks in your game casued by the stress of a downswing. i play a lot of sngs, and every month or so i get a downswing of up to 50 buy ins, which feels neverending. keep playing, your hot streak is just around the corner. Re(3): Could I/should I have folded this? its fair to assume that one of the 2 guys has the straight flush. are they really getting it in there with the Ah, and the other guy Kh or something not. i think this is a pretty clear fold unless both players are absolute maniacs Posted in: Poker Discussion |

bad call? just a $20 180........ the guy im playing the hand against is a complete idiot. one of the biggest calling stations/maniacs ive seen. he was letting me limp into pots in the sb so there wasnt any reason to raise as i was hoping to just play small pots. really wasnt comfortable calling on the river, and it cost me most of my timebank. should i have folded the turn or river' Seat 2: Chest Waders (41944 in chips) Seat 5: andyh26 (90100 in chips) Seat 9: Drumbum (137956 in chips) Chest Waders: posts the ante 150 andyh26: posts the ante 150 Drumbum: posts the ante 150 andyh26: posts small blind ... Re(1): Advice from $3 rebuy this is a $3 rebuy........i doubt this guy can fold any pair lol. no way your beat here, these guys have very low level thinking, your prob getting insta min reraised on tun by a hand that beats u on the turn. if he has jj or AA then cooler. im gonna asume hes paying me off with a half to 2/3 pot bet here. if he shoves and has u beat then so be it, move on to to next tourney. if u want to go deep in tourneys like this then treat such hands as the nuts. i very much doubt your beat!
