Re:RiverScars at its finest Hey whats up' Not much you can do there. Even if you RR him on the flop it looks like he's getting it all in. A5 of puppy feet and gutterball str8 draw is a strong hand for some people. Looks like he went on to win it too. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Investigating Poker Scandal, FLAWS IN POKERSTARS SOFTWARE Well just understand that people are going to be nonbelievers until you actual provide any proof. Thus so far we haven't heard anything remotely close to an exploitable flaw. Why should 'top' players have to come out and admit anything' Maybe the only flaws they exploit are ones they find in other players' You shouldn't need much of a BR. Just take a few hundred bucks, play a big tourney, and win...since you know how to exploit the flaws of the system. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Fold top two pair? I think you played it too passively and as a result, he drawed out on you. I think the check is fine on the flop since he showed aggression pre and is likely going to bet the flop. With top two pair I definitely would have check raised him on the flop. A pot sized RR. Your hand is likely ahead and its way to drawy of a board to just check/call. If he calls, I would 3/4 to pot raise that turn. He should shut down with only 3rd pair and a gutterball straight draw. Definitely need to play this hand more aggressively and protect your hand. I don't think you can call that river bet the way ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:1-2NL big flop question? Do you call Definitely cant fold there with the sooted AK draw to the nut flush, even though your likely up against a set. AK offsoot is easy fold imo. As AllYouChips mentioned, AKs is a perfect hand to 3bet pre after you raised the last 3 hands. It's just so likely that people are going to look you up with hands that you dominate. It's likely the hand would have played out the same way regardless if the gentleman with 99 thought you were splashing around too many pots and would have called your 3bet. Re:Running bad or Idiots I wouldn't call the first one a bad beat since you got your money in bad. Short handed UTG raiser definitely has a Q in his range. Second hand is ul, lot of chips to get in with AJ at the 10/20 level. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Tough spot...how should I have played this? With 13BB left I really don't like limping there pre. You're going to miss too often. I'd either fold or shove pre depending on what I knew about the people behind me left to act. Tight table I would have no problem shoving pre, particularly with your small stack and if the next level was coming soon. As you played it, you are probably in good shape on the flop. I think tight players behind may have reraised a big Ace pre. It's possible they limped behind with a small sooted Ace, so in that case you are likely to get some action. I would probably put in a smallish donk raise ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:25NL folded over pair on low paired board The way you played it, not much you can do unless you had some specific reads on this guy. You could check-call-raise; just flat call his cbet and raise the turn depending on what falls. He's probably got an overpair or even mid pair and is worried about the spade draw. If you just flat call on flop and bet the flop when the spade hits, I think he folds most of the time. Personally i'd prefer to RR the JJ pre. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:so sickkkkk.....the story of my life Ul, but if you are going to play KTs, why not come in for a raise' Limping in with a hand that easily dominated is just asking for trouble. With the stack sizes behind you, I'd probably fold KTs pre b/c do you really want to be calling pre with KTs if they shove over the top of you' JMO. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Has anyone ever won a hand when they flopped a set? Just one of those days. I am sure you have won with sets, but its easier to remember all the bad beats. It really depends on how you are playing the sets as well. If you are slow playing them, then you are bound to get outdrawn. Just lots of variables could come into play as to why your sets are getting cracked. gl. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:20 players left...call/fold? Kind of the hand you would expect...overcard and strong flush draw. As someone else mentioned, i think if you C/r the flop, you should lead the turn as well....but at this limit, I really don't see him folding, even against the odds. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:MBN to run like a pro That's the risk of not RR AA pre and getting in a multiway pot. Someone usually flops a set against me anytime I try to slowplay it. I am sure FU folded A6, because stars decks have like 10 Aces in them :/ Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:20 players left...call/fold? I probably fold here. He could easily have an overpair or overcards with a stronger club draw than yours. His late position limp is pretty weak, but when he calls your reraise on the flop, I would tend to give him credit for something. JUst curious what happened' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Lay it Down? kind of a weird way for him to play AA because the majority of the time, no one is going to have a hand to call with and he's going to be left with a small pot to win. No problem calling there with AK. Just ul to run into AA imo. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
