I should have posted this in the hand discussion but I've never got much response from high rated regs before so taking this opportunity to get your thoughts on one hand, villian has been very aggressive 3x- 4x-betting with A2 off and getting luky. I felt this was the right spot, and with these kind of play I just want to rip off my laptop and throw it at them. UTG opening range?
a lot of the times you need to play your image and exploit other players to accumulate chips, also the key thing is to be very sure about what you want when you're raising with a marginal hand UTG......whether you want a call or u just want the blinds and antes' If you just want to steal .......a min raise is more than enough, and if that doesn't work you'll see a flop with the minimum invested. I'd never fold any pair, pre UTG with 40-50 BBs and will call a shove from a short stack up to 10BBs, it's almost every time going to be a race..... TBH abc poker will only get you that far ...

Final table bvb is this a shove?
LOL you mention "playing for the win", how do you propose to do that with 4-5BBs if you fold in this spot. The BB is nearly always going to call that shove but you should have live cards in this spot, doubling up here should really help ur cause to win it;)

Tricky spot against sort of fishy player
usually such players take the wrong sense of pot odds and want to just see a flop like 8/10 times while in the blinds, i wudnt be surprised if he actually has something like 810s, 89s. A9, 99 is def a possibility as well, i'd say one of those three or total air....

+1 here, I made that mistake and blew up a lot of $$$ that way. Don't directly go to the HSMTTs, rather make the move gradually with medium buyins and play sattys for the higher ones to take a shot now and then

optimum way to play this hand?
the fact that inspite of the UTG+1 limp MP decides just to raise 2.5x and not jam his 9 BBs or so should allow you to assign him a range which seems to be one of the premium hands including AQ, AK and his jam on flop is just standard play. given that kind of action folding pre is best here

how do i play this hand better?
jamming pre or folding pre are the only two options with your position and stack size.....calling and seeing a flop is virtually suicide as you're gonna hit that perfect flop like 1 in 1000 times

not to be a dick but just look at the fking volume still on stars and FTP (you'd think that players be concerned and not get onto them), sure the majors and other guarantees are lesser, but still a lot of volume....i think they're even gonna be OK without the US players until the dust settles down

WTF is wrong with you, you're the one whose retarded, I never saw a disclaimer saying that this forum is only for americans when I signed up idiot! Sure the US players have been hit hard and we hope it gets sorted out for them, but the non-US players are equally concerned about getting their money from these sites.
