Re(3): Did I play this right with 200 players left in Sunday Million? His play with AQ here isn't horrible. He probably thinks he's isolating with the best hand. Think of it as losing a coinflip to the Jacks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Did I play this right with 200 players left in Sunday Million? You did the right thing. You only have 6bb. You're not folding, and you're not limping, and you don't have enough to get away from the hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Bubble Play in 9-man SnG advice needed Shoving is a zero play. You're only getting called when you're beat and you're going after the one guy that can stack you. Raising to 1200 risks less chips to win the same pot. As for the guy with 200ish chips your not likely to be more than a 60/40 favorite against him since he's on any 2. Who are these wingnuts that reshove against the one guy that can send them to the rail when they're in the big blind' What stakes can I find them at' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): tough spot late in tourney... First of all, 100/200 is usually pretty early in a FTP $11 Tourney, right' This looks like either a stop and go with a Middle pair, or some JT or T9 BS. I like his play if he has the midpair because it almost always works unless you have Tens through Aces. I think it's a close fold. This is the reason I usually limp the eights before there are antes out with these structures. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Have i overplayed AK or is this standard? ($50 MTT) With no read I go broke here too. I'd be much more inclined to fold to a check raise than a Donk Bet on the flop. Lot's of people Donk it here with JJ or QQ hoping to take the play away from you. then they fold to a raise. Hands I think he has when he Donk Bets 1. QQ 2. JJ 3. AK 4. AA Hands he doesn't have 1. KK 2. TT 3. 44 Come to think of it, I probably call the flop and try and induce another bluff on the turn, and only then, go broke. I'm serious! I think a fold is a strong play here unless you know he's solid. When I started playing I would even play KJ or KQ the way the villan did ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

FTP-$69MTT-Bottom set fold I'm normally not very good at laydowns. On the Flop I told myself I was goona shove a blank turn card. Re(5): Bubble Play in 9-man SnG advice needed Why is this guy gonna reshove with air if he knows you're calling' Is he pushing JT into the only guy that can bust him because he's getting a good price on a call (not a reraise I might add)' How can a specific had take down a pot w/o showdown in comparison with other holding with no showdown' Also this hand is going to be shown down since you already have an all-in. Re(2): Bubble Play in 9-man SnG advice needed Inviting the BB to shove' I think the 1200 raise is more likely to get a fold than a shove. I'd rather fold here than shove, given the stacks/blinds/positions/pot size. I think its that bad of a play. risking 4600 to win 800 is, like 11p0wner said, spewie. As for folding to a reraise, you're still a comfortable second in chips and probably one off the money. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): QQ v. AA Got a HandHistory' My cash No Limit is weak but a HH would probably get a response from someone. Maybe put "cash" in title. In a live situation this almost always means AA or KK in my experience playing 1-2/1-3 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Was this raise to big? (SNG players) I think its fine. A decent reraise is half your stack and the faux squeeze play has been very effective lately. The other good thing about a shove is that it looks more likea big Ace or a small pair. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Bubble Play in 9-man SnG advice needed I think shoving 5 handed here is silly. make a standard raise and if the Big Blind reraises you can laydown and still have good chips. 3x raise is the way to go. Sure, you're short, but so is everyone else. When I'm the Big Blind here I actually respect that raise just as much as a shove. Very few players can resteal from bb with worse than AQ when they have to turn their hand over (because of micro stacked all-in). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Bubble Play in 9-man SnG advice needed I'd make it 1200. I'm willing to make the two mid-stacks think I'm isolating so they're more likely to tangle with me. Depending on the stakes the mid stacks will often overplay weaker hands than mine.. The only real problem is if the Big Blind reraises. Then I'd usually dump it with no read. I think shoving is really big stack to act. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Tough spot with top pair I usually call here. If the limper comes along, oh well. The way I see it only thing you're really behind is a set. If you save that raising money for a call on a later street you give yourself a chance to win a bigger pot if you do catch. I just think a raise here is getting worse hands to fold and better hands to come over the top and shut you out. Usually a raise here is to get the draws or the best hand to fold and you may be the guy with both. Call, hope for a six, then reevaluate. Don't worry about the limper, If he calls too your increasing your chances of snapping someone off. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Whats your line here? I think you've made the pot a little too big. I like a raise of 90 or 100 here and then a continuation around 150. That gives you a little more room to call a minraise. In Full Tilt guarantees I've seen this play with T8dd as often as with two pair or JT. The way you played it I would call the minraise and hope it freezes him on the turn. If he checks a blank on the turn I would bet 500 and hope it goes call, then check check on the river. If he puts a sizeable bet in on the turn and/or the ten of diamonds comes I shut it down then. Thanks for posting this, I need to work on my folding so ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
