Re:Step by step guide to beating 180 man tournies on PStars
Decent guide. I should make a guide for turbo 180s,$12 & 36$. Wonder if there'd be interest... I'd have to charge like 50$ bux though to make some money and the side, for putting in a lot of work and effort &+ cuz my edge is going to go downnnn. Who wouldnt pay 50$ to learn how to destroy turbo 180s for the rest of their life' ---b00k0fmud0ra---

Re:Paying Taxes
Ok, So I have some confusion. I keep track of how much I make per day and that is what I should report in a tax form correct' The question/problem I am having is, I will only know net profit not Prizes&Losses to get to net profit. My point I am trying to make is if you are like me and you play 16+ tables regularly, theres no way you can keep track everytime you are out of a tournament especially if they are different buy ins. What do you do if you multi table'

Re:Sharkscope LB question?
Hi, Pvilleplaya, for sharkscope, the only games that count as a heads up game for the leaderboards are 2 players & the 4 player shootout. 8 player and higher is not counted. I am not sure why this is, but it is in the sharkscope faq.

Re:$11 180 turbo grinders----hear ye, hear ye...
!Monteaz!Let's assume your are put in 1 coin flip per tourney. You can flip 84 coins and can easily be out of 20% of 50%. Meaning in any 84 coin flips, you can flip less then 30%. Or more then 70%. If your flipping 70%+, or 30%-, my guess is you probably aren't too close to your true roi. Unless you've flipped 10,000 coins, or played 2k+ games, your stats coming from 84 mean as much as a bum on the street telling you he's going to be the next bill gates. "I am pretty sure i'd be longterm over 100 though. If youd like id be willing to bet over 2k games you wont have ...

Re:Question to Middle/High Stakes Sng HU players.
Thanks for the reply outgunned1, do you agree with jennifear, that Hu sngs, are the lowest variance of any form of poker' Also, I'd like to know if you play the non turbos or the turbos or both. What would you say is your greatest "edge" in HU sngs' Also how do you make money, please correct me if im wrong, but the best players only have a small edge, and the reason they make money is because of the volume they put in. Thanks alot.

Question to Middle/High Stakes Sng HU players.
If you grind Turbo HU Sngs, What is a good sustainable ROI. My guess is 3-7%. But if your roi is even as good as 7%, aren't the swings like soooooooooo bad' How do you deal with them. Do you think it is worth the low roi for high profits' What are the top players doing that makes them so much money...lib112...dario...etc... What are these players doing that makes them a million dolars yet, its only 5 minute levels' Heads up sit and go tournaments are a variance monster all to themselves. Your win rate will have a massive effect on your variance in heads up play, and a player who is only ...

Re:When to Tighten up Shoving Range (attn: v0id, b00k0fmud0ra)
Good question Ibluffheaps. I'll answer with this... If you are playing more then 180 players and its a turbo mtt, play to win. if you are unsure if a play is barely an edge or an equal play on the bubble, just fold and wait for another spot unless your desperate. 45s and less, be more careful on the bubble, tighten up if you know A) your opponent is calling loosely. or B) you are playing against a regular that knows (and adjusts accordingly) to your loose shoves. as far as calling tighten up considerably on the bubble, don't call loose on the bubble thats probably the worst thing you ...

When you've been in college for two years hating it, getting nowhere, and everybody tells you they have no idea what they are doing. then go to work the next day and have a fellow co-worker ask you, What Are you going to do with your life. when you reply to him... Proffessional Poker player. And he says to you, so what the $%^& are you doing in college' I'd like you to turn around and say to him, I wouldnt mind wasting two more years of my life since degree> no degree. lol.

Re:In response to "What to do about the 'Haters' "
I guess I will post here as my thread basically became obsolete. =(. My original question was whether or not I should teach my parents exactly what Expected Value and long term means or don't waste my time. I think one thing I failed to mention is that I already did go to college for business, and I hated it. I think the main reason I hate it is because I am a very decisive person, and (correct me if im wrong) I do not feel the majority of people in college have any idea where they are going with their lives. Example: I had a friend in college, who I knew in high school, Straight A ...

Re:what To do about Haters???
Well you see thats the thing, I live with them. maybe I should move out. They want me to tell them how much i make every week/month.year. Problem is, I dont think its any of their business and Any good friend of mine that players poker, knows to the T how much I make. But telling my parents im on a downswing because of variance, is basically like saying to them. "Im going to lose all my money just like everyone else does. I do make decent money, but if i always tell them I have X money. and one month i have a losing month, I wont have that money... Maybe I should Tell them exactly how ...

Re:quick question for the $12-180 turbo grinders
Like I said, that question is too difficult to answer. It depends when you plan on playing... If you play on a friday night you might get in like 25 tournament in an hour, if you play monday night you might be playing 6 an hour. On average Id say it's around 10-15 an hour, but it also depends on how good you are...if you are good it will take longer per game because you will get further... There is no DEFINITE answer to that question imo.
