I USED to be a huge hockey fan -- TV will never do the beauty of the game justice, although High Def makes it soooo much better. Re(1): jamie gold defense Because I'm an older guy (I guess), sportsmanship at the table is more important to me than many who seem to think almost any behavior at the poker table is acceptable. With that said, I have no real problem with Jamie Gold's banter at the table. I thought it was mostly good natured, though some thought he was straddling/crossing the line when he talked about what he was holding. I didn't think he crossed it except maybe when he said too much when there were others left to act. Re(1): Poker Stars vs. UB (SNGs) At the levels you mentioned, I would not be concerned about the level of competition you'd be facing at Stars -- in fact, at those levels, I think you may reach the conclusion that the competition is tougher at UB. What you may want to evaluate is Stars' blind structures for their SNG's and how it suits your preferred style of play. All Stars SNGs feel like turbos to me, which doesn't suit my game and is why I play the vast majority of my SNGs at UB. I don't remember how much it cost -- it was 3 years old and a HS grad present before heading off to college. Mom's are the greatest -- old man wanted to send me with Mom's beater station wagon but she talked him out of it. This is not an actual pic of my car, but it could be my car -- 327, almost identical colors, same tires, hubs, etc. Wife's cousin likes to restore old classics and sent me this pic. Um, I feel the same way every time I watch Allen Cunningham play, and he seems to be doing fairly well at this poker thing for both he and I (hello ME FT at 110/1!). That's the beauty of poker and its varying styles of play as I see it -- you can be effective being the intimidator, or the table ass, or the maniac LAG, or the table good guy and comedian, or the quiet nice guy (with the killer instinct).
