Re(2): Multi-tabling SNG's
i would say that the rule of thumb you suggest is pretty good at -1% ROI per additional table. Jennifear's words aren't being put in the right context here.... she means 8% of your ROI is lost for every table you open, i.e. someone who 1 tables at 10% ROI will 2 table at 9.2% ROI, 3 table at 7.4% ROI, etc. etc.

Re(2): sunday million
the field plays like a 20$ MTT basically, more scared money at the bubble though, so a good player could use the opportunity to pick up a few extra blinds

Re(2): can i post a bad beat?
given his short stack, i don't mind under-repping AA. If you've both got >40 BB or so then I would advise against it.

Re(4): Should I move up or wait?
The more buyins you have the better, but you can ease your way in by playing 1/4 tables of 10$. Set points for yourself where you go to 2/4 tables, 3/4 tables and finally all 4 tables of 10$ SNGs.

Re(1): Poker... How much skill is actually involved?
I get the joke. Very clever riddle, the answer is no. At least for all but one in the poker world, because in the long run all the money in the poker economy trickles up to the best player and all the rest are left penniless.

Re(3): with apologies to the sites...is there ANY reason to play a WSOP sat online?
I would bet many of the losing players in high buyin events, or WSOP sats do read up on poker and follow things like pocketfives, 2p2, etc. The losing players in higher buyin events like these are winning players at lower stakes, i.e pocketfivers.

Re(1): Need help with bankroll grind
With a bankroll of 25$ you're best bet is to get a job. Don't look at poker as a source of income when you're entire bankroll is 4 hours at a minimum wage job. It should be entertainment for you, and if you wish to improve, you should save up at least 200$ to start for a bankroll. If it takes some time to save up that amount of money, good! Use that time to learn as much as you can by reading books and internet sources. There are much better sources for information about how to play poker than pocket fives. is defintely one of the best, but the site kinda sucks. Cardrunners is very very ...

W$ as an investment?
Do you think W$ could make a good investment' I think the price of W$ is going to go up once Pokerstars stars letting people use it to buy into WSOP events. It makes sense from a basic supply/demand viewpoint too. The demand will be going up when people start using W$ to buy into the events, therefore the price should go up as long as there isn't too big of an increase in supply.

Re(2): Bug in Party Poker Rebuy MTTs?
I don't see it as that big of an advantage. You can have a 50x buyin stack, but if you paid 50 buyins to get it, then you're not hurting the rest of the field's EV, right'

Re(4): Hats Off To Chris Ferguson
woohoo, pure unadulterated brag posts- my favorite!!!!!! Mar. 22 i had 15$ in my account. I played some 10NL, got up to 30. Then played 25NL and got up to 50. Then played .5/1 PLO, got up to 120. Then I went to 50NL and hit a heater and was up to 300, all totaled was about 3 hrs that day. Steadily I'ved turned that 15$ into over 10k now in less than 6 weeks. (only $1400 from MTTs) Take that Chris PS, i love brag posting

Re(1): Longest youve waited for pstars checks...
me and a friend cashed out the same day, at the same time(as an experiment of sorts). Each for 200$, but mine showed up in 4 days, his took 3 weeks. I'm platinumstar VIP, and he's still Bronzestar. My theory is that it's based on VIP level. I have 0 evidence for this, but it's just my guess that Pokerstars serves their top players first.

Re(1): Pokerstars notes question
C:\Program Files\PokerStars you'll find a file here called "Notes" (these are your player notes) You can get it onto your new computer a lot of different ways. You can email it to yourself and open it on the new computer. You can use a floppy disk or a zip drive if you've got those.
