Home game hand... Lame, angle shoot or both? Or Neither?
While the ruling is obvious in a casino or any serious game, we all know the home game is a different atmosphere. In a friendly home game, I can see where players may agree to chop it. However, for the host to rule that this must be done is a big mistake in my opinion

how to handle a month long downswing?
We get it. You are on a 10k downswing. Be happy it's not bigger. I had a larger downswing than that last month. Thankfully, it seems to be over but I still need to do some work and get a few solid scores (or one big one) to get my roll back up to where it was.

So stars cancels all their late night tournies?
That's a good question. I haven't been playing late night until recently (and still dont do it THAT often, and just must have missed those nights. Oh, and I scanned the front page before I made the thread and somehow didnt see the other thread (which I now do)

So stars cancels all their late night tournies?
What the fuck' They changed the 11:00 PM and 2:00 AM $33s and the 3:00 AM $10 to a turbos, and basically no real tournaments until the 8:00 AM 10r. On a Friday night' Seriously' This is permanent' This is horrible for news for me since with my work schedule only allowing me to play late night tournies most days

Lady goes all in and then loses her hole cards....
I generally consider a dealer mucking the cards of an all-in player before he deals the community cards a mistake. You're getting way too defensive here. Nobody is saying the player didn't make a mistake as well, but are you really trying to argue that mucking the hand of a player that is all-in is not a mistake'

low stakes quality of play in the toilet? is protitable low stakes play dead?????
1) Most big time pros HAVE gone through the low stakes. That's generally how they got enough money to play the big stakes. 2) It sounds like you are simply just sitting and waiting for premium hands. That's not the proper straegy. Take cheap flops and exploit the fish where you can the most. 3) A good player might win one in 100 tournaments he plays. That's 1%. Among those 99% you lose, you are going to have plenty where you just cant get anything going. 4) Has it occurred to you that you may not be as good of a player as you think yourself to be' This is not an insult or an ...

Can't close :(
Just keep it guys. As long as you are getting deep and are playing well, the top 3 scores will come. And then you will be on top of the world until your next downswing in which case you will want to off yourself once again. Been there, done that. Just keep grinding. I just shipped the Stars 55 turbo for a decent 4k so I'm in an overly optimistic mood.

12-13 BB
Simply, 12-13 BBs folding to me in LP I'm not electing to raise it 2.5BBs. Just not my style. But as played, playrs are jamming the flop most of the time when they miss. Checking back only looks suspicious. It might turn a hand he was looking forward to snapcalling your jam with into a fold after you check back (due to an over card, other scare card, or on suspicion alone)

Very good disguised brag. Seriously though, practice and patience. They go hand in hand. Being overaggressive is less of a mistake than being underaggressive, especially when you are playing shorthanded at the final table, final table bubble, and to a lesser extent, the two-table bubble in larger tournies.

Attention all cash players.....advice please!!
It's different for everyone, so we can't really give you an answer. Some players can only play 30-mins-1hr before they start facing a decline in their play. Others can play for 12+ hours straight at a high level of play. Instead of setting some stupid predetermined timeframe , gauge yourself every so often as you play. Ask yourself if your head is in the game and if you are playing your best. If it isn't and you can't get it back in gear, it's probably time to leave. It also depends on your opponents. If you are at a tight table that's not really playing many big ...

Pstars late reg creating massive prizepools in daily tourneys
I like late registration, but this is excessive. Before, we would have like 2 minutes of late reg which wasn't enough, so we asked for more and they give us an hour, which is too long (save for rebuy tournies). I think we all just wanted a good 15 mins of late registration in case you just miss a start time. Funny enough, I have missed a few tournaments because I assumed they had the hour-long late reg, however when i looked for them at five after they are gone :( HOWEVER, this long registration seems like it's starting to develop some of the tournies that have only had small fields ...
