Advice on playing online sats to medium buy in live events.
I mean if you want to take shots take shots but don't kid yourself. These are stupidly high variance. You're playing tournaments with flat pay structures, but they require you to take the 5k, 10k, 15k you win, and immediately put it into ONE tournament. Could you imagine if you won the $20.00 rebuy but then something flashed on the screen going BOSS LEVEL REACHED!!! throwing you into a live event with another few hundred people and a starting stack' That's what you're doing when you play sats.

Yoyo guys sorry for the delay. Okay so some basic things I tell everyone about these. First off, take the average stack everyone will have at the end of the tournament. If the tournament has 11 seats then divide all the chips by 11. Once you have 75% of that you should pretty much shut down, and pick only obvious opens. Remember that the payout structure being flat severely effects how you should play. Say a MP player opens and you have AQo with 30 BBs. That small of a bet really screams to me he wants a raise or he wants you to go away for cheap. I think its a more polarized range. I feel like we should just flat if we're going to raise and then tank to a jam. If you think he's trying to induce a raise with a draw (what I think he's doing a lot here) then I would raise/call here. My play here a lot of the time is to just call however.
