Re(2): broken random number generators good point. 2x quads in 3 hands more often would tend to validate the randomness. maybe once a day would really be random, more often even better/ more random yet. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

broken random number generators Although the sites claim independent verification of their rng's insures they're random...I have my doubts. Wonder if anyone else has seen "momentary lapse of randomness" I've observed. Once last year I received quads twice in three hands, 2 days ago in a sng I saw AA, KK, and QQ delt to 3 of the 6 players at the table in the same hand. I'll bet dealers w/20 years experience haven't seen that. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): PokerXFactor Questions I'm interested in a training forum that might include an sng of clients and bax or sheets where the set of hand histories are later reviewed by the pro and the personal results relayed to the different players. I found watching mindwise's graphics of sheets' sng play very helpful w/o one word spoken. Imagine if an hour of hands were reviewed by bax and he trains u based on your actual play. I'd pay for that sng...big time. Tnx aopa911/at_a_2d/wa4dhe/jim Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): JohnnyBax and Sheets Join PokerXFactor: Launching Poker Training Center You should invite equity participation. Selling the dream with Bax and Sheets should be a going affair. I for one, have already signed up and will be purchasing a membership when it's available. Primarily for 2 reasons, 1) I want to improve and 2) Mindsise's software, Bax and Sheets' skill appear to be the best all around. I'm predicting a great ride with this venture. What's causing me to "almost" cash so often, I'd rather bust early than get close. I repeatedly find myself 1 or 2 spots off the money. Yesretday on Stars $11SNG /18plyrs i finished 4th and 5th( 1-4 paid), the last two 180 man $20 SNG, I place 24th and 20th( 1-18 paid). Re(1): The Grandma dilemma: Debunking the myths Great post. I was once comped a room at the Mirage and became friends w/ a casino host. He and I talked at length about security, a subject I really find interesting. I learned that anyone making a bet >=$500 has their picture taken, along with everyone else at the table. The images are processed using software that measures the distance between you eyes, cheekbone location and other non-changeable parameters. If you and others show up at other tables doing the same...well the casino is interested. If the brick and mortor houses are so advanced in security, don't you think the software ... Re(1): Mastering the luck involved in poker MikeRy, Questioning whether or not the external world (cards delt, parking space available when u need it,...) is in any way affected by thoughts, your being Bax or some other "internal" factor is a legitimate question. The answer will not be found by examining anyone's opinion on the matter. What people think about the hypothesis is pure speculation. Only research will shed light on the subject and I suspect this is not the place to learn about external reality as a function of internal factors. A good book on the subject is the Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale. BTW, I share your interest and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Why is winning a satellite the only option for most? I would guess JohhnyBax and other less skilled players would appreciate sats for 2 reasons: 1. With the ultra high variance seen in the big MTT's, sats provide a much more "reasonable" entry fee for the MTT you'll likely lose, and 2. Better players are more likely to win (read reduced variance) in the smaller field of lower skilled players that typically play $3 rebuy sats to the big ones. Additionally, I play the sats because I know my skill level does not warrant a direct buy-in, but I could get lucky and win via a sat. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
