How far is your commute?
This is probably true for long commutes, which I would consider to be anything over 50 minutes. When I went from 35-40 to 25 minutes it had no effect on my happiness or daily life other than I sleep an extra 15 minutes. I have never had to drive longer than 45 minutes to work, and I imagine an hour each way would be brutal and that certainly would become old. My point was that to me there was really no difference between my longer commute a year ago and the one I have now (it's actually farther distance wise but no city traffic). OP's question was comparing 35 minutes to 15, I strongly think ...

How far is your commute?
Your commute just becomes part of your day and after time you don't even realize it. You auto-factor the driving time into your planning and it's just down time to think about your day/daydream/whatever. I now work 20 miles/25 minutes from home and it's mostly free flowing traffic going away from Milwaukee. Last year this time I worked 15 miles/35 minutes from home in Milwaukee. Neither drive was bad, you get used to it real quickly. Take the best job offer and if you're driving a little bit so be it. A 35 minute commute to a better work environment >>>> 15 minute commute somewhere just ...

Resolution: HS boys vs. Pro women
It's not pro women vs high school boys, but in high school myself and four other boys scrimmaged the girls varsity team (5v11, obv). We scrimmaged for 15 minutes with a keeper/defender (ran the field but could use his hands in the box) and we won 7-0. I currently play coed indoor soccer every week and one of our girls played D-1 at a major university. While she is by far better than the other girls she isn't nearly as good as the handful of us guys who were only slightly above the average varsity boys player in high school. As echoed earlier, an elite high school boys team would beat ...

So you have the seller cover the closing cost and add that to the sale amount' I'm curious because I will be buying a house in the next few months and we want the seller to cover closing costs.

2012 Minnesota State H.S. Hockey Tournament
This tournament is so awesome, definitely jealous in Wisconsin. I played HS hockey here and now officiate, I'd love have a tournament like this here. I officiated a quarterfinal game at the Wisconsin state tournament last weekend and I doubt there were more than 4,000 people there.

Allen Iverson - $200+ million man to $0 (or less) ...how?
Clearly won't be saying that now. Unless you're a big hockey fan you probably don't know who he is anyway. He's a 3rd liner for a mediocre team.

Allen Iverson - $200+ million man to $0 (or less) ...how?
Interesting, just last year a friend of mine who plays in the NHL told me he wasn't paying any state income taxes for his away games. Either he's cheating the system or is oblivious to the fact that he is indeed paying additional income taxes for his away games. I suppose each the possible scenarios are equally likely.

How did you meet your wife?
Summer before my senior year of high school we attended a leadership camp for all the high school sports team captains. She had moved to town the previous school year mid-year and I had never even seen her before. I thought she was a babe and made it a point to get to know her. We dated for a while and then broke up when I left for college the next year (she is a year younger). Got back together when I was home for that Thanksgiving and she was knocked up the following summer. Married five years after that and had our second child last year. Biggest accident of my life transformed into one ...

Audi S4, advice needed
If he's in a retail setting this is anything but bullshit. I was making slightly more than that when I became licensed in July 2010 after graduating in May 2010. Also got a nice little raise when promoted to pharmacy manager a few months later. Most hospital pharmacists make a little less but still probably average low six figures. Big chain store pharmacists country wide average $125k/year as their base salary. Get over it.

Audi S4, advice needed
If it's something you always wanted, do it. I had wanted a BMW since I was 14 years old. I graduated in May of 2010 and bought my BMW in March of last year and haven't regretted it for one second. Buying a house this spring/summer, and logically should have done that first. Even knowing that, I love my car and don't regret the decision I made. Buy your S4, you'll love it.

Taxi Cab Shenanigans. WWYDOT?
Same exact thing happened to me last weekend in Atlanta. I was with three other friends (visiting a friend who recently moved to ATL). We were taking a cab home and realized the guy was going in the complete wrong direction. We asked the cabbie where he was going and he says "around the park." My buddy who lives there says fuck that so cabbie stops and y-turns and goes back. We were hammered drunk and cabbie tried to get away with bullshit. We did same thing as OP, should have been a $25 fare and he had the meter at $35. We gave him $30 and told him it was his fault (woulda given the $30 or ...

Bears WR Sam Hurd = Tony Montana
Politics plays a huge part in the pharmaceutical industry as a whole, but almost nothing on the individual drug level on approval. The part where it comes into play on an individual drug level is when a brand name may lose its patent, certain indication approvals, etc. The safety approval is not at all politically influenced. That said, politics plays too big of a role, but not in the sense you are thinking.

LOL, yes this simple mind like mine got me through seven years of school graduating with a doctorate. Now I'm one of the more respected individuals in my company at my position and am a clinical instructor at a large, major university. I'm sorry you can't understand concepts that may be higher than high school level. As far as your Rx drug point, I couldn't agree more. The rate at which narcs are being prescribed these days is ridiculous and needs to be contained.

Agreed, end thread. The debate is not worth it. Most you clearly have no idea of how and why a drug is illegal vs legal. There surely are positive uses for many drugs that now illegal. This pertains to both LSD and a drug like avandia which two weeks ago was pulled off the market. These drugs are not legal because their use has been proven multiple times over to greatly outweigh any kind of benefit one may receive. That is not my opinion, that is a fact. Waco, I mentioned above there is positive use for some of those drugs. That is not the point I am refuting. Keep in mind that for every one ...

LOL dyzalot. No one in their right mind would attempt to file a NDA on marijuana because longterm risks outweight any kind of benefit. It has zero chance of FDA approval for any use. It needs to just be regulated and taxed like tobacco for it to be legalized, and as I mentioned previously I would be in favor of this if we could figure out a way to do it. Ecstasy is NOT used for any scientific purpose other than animal studies in Europe. There are just as many studies showing this as with LSD as I previously mentioned. Dyz, please show your European use of ecstasy for psychiatric purposes.

There are multiple long-term animal studies using LSD that show significant cognitive disfunction and other behavioral changes as a result of the LSD use over a long period of time. Obviously such studies cannot be conducted on humans, but there are numerous documented human case studies where chronic LSD users exhibit similar changes. These studies can be easily found on the internet, I found them on my first search on PubMed (a scientific literature database).

Opium and coke are both schedule II substances. Opium isn't really used anymore because there are better pain killers but coke is routinely used in plastic surgery. There's nothing wrong this use and that's why they are approved to use by the FDA. While LSD can help the creative mind momentarily become more creative the long-term negative effects significantly outweigh any of the benefits one using it may get. Look, my statement was aimed at dyzalot who was trying to say that pharma companies and drug dealers are one in the same. They are one in the same in the fact that profits are their ...

Clinical trials are not necessary when it comes to drugs that have no benefits whatsoever. Weed, fine whatever, I'm on the fence with that. If we could find the right way to regulate and tax it I'd probably be for its legalization. Other illicit drugs do not need trials to find out whether or not they should be legal or illegal. My point when saying that was that dyz was trying to say decisions on prescription medications are made by politicians and they do not base these decisions on scientific evidence. However, that statement could not be further from the truth.

Are you really this naive and out of touch with reality' How many drug-related murders, stabbings, etc, occur each year' Obviously there are drunk driving crashes where fatalities occur, but the number of violent drug incidents greatly outweighs these. And an even bigger LOL at putting big pharma in the same category as street drug dealers. Those "guys in Washington" make all of their decisions based upon a series of clinical trials that often takes many years. You are either completely uneducated on the subject or see the world through your own blinders. If the latter is the case this is ...

MVP: Brady or Rodgers?
He's right on most of his points. Jennings is a star and Nelson certainly could be. Finley still drops too many balls to even get close to star level. However, his size, strength, and route running make give him extremely high potential to become an elite TE if he figures out to how to hold onto the ball regularly. Matt Flynn is a starting NFL QB backing-up the best QB in the game. Flynn would start on half of the teams in the NFL right now and I think that will be proven next year as it's doubtful the Packers will be able to hold him back any longer. Defensively, the Packers are very ...
