Re:hand from ftops ft
There was a very similiar spot my buddy and I were talking about the other day. I dont have hand history but it was a 16k gtd or something with about 6 left. He and villian were in like 3rd and 4th. He was button with 99 with about 30bbs. He raised and same stack from bb pushed. He tanked for a bit eventually folding. I told him I dont know if I would have folded but then I made the point what do you do with ak. He said he snaps him off (as do I). Fairly similar to bob's hand. My question to him and to bob and all other players do u snap ak in bobs spot' If so, what plays better long term ...

Re:Darvin Moon
No way he could have a could read there because he is an amateur player and does not play online or post on P5's. If Kopp or Ivey calls there its a "sick read" "great call" whatever. GIve me a break. Why was it an amateur move' Ask any GOOD player and they will tell u thats an insta call. GTFO

Re:Darvin Moon
I agree but I didnt want to turn this into a Kopp hate thread. He played great and is a great player. I have, will, and continute to play hands and the game of poker much worse than him. GG... nice run.

Re:Darvin Moon
Right... not saying good or bad, but he didnt snap off KK which I think most do and shows at least he is a thinking player and thats the hand I was referencing.

Darvin Moon
I dont underdtand the hate for this guy. Is it simply because he does not play online or a P5's member. How do you know this guy sucks' From what I have seen he never gets his money in bad. Sure he has hit some timely hands but what if Kopp had hit the hands that Moon hit then he would be "so sick, gg, ownage" etc. etc. Moon might be a great player you have never heard of. He also might not be. Just because he talks with a bit of a draw and doesnt go into very deep poker discussion in his interviews does not mean he is a bad player. But I do not understand the rush to judgement. ...

Re:Best Holdem player in the world? I think not...
not a bad play at all actually, 1) Dwan had been playin fairly tight preflop as far as 3 bets are concerend (despite his reputation). 2) why would phil wana play out of position against a player whom he admitedly respects greatly and is honestly a little fearful of. 3) Bob Safi is quite a wild card in the hand, so he is playin out of position against two players. 4) Phil has a tendency to protect his winnings and this is quite normal for him..... so i do not think this is bad considering all the above mentioned plays, certainly not a huge lay down and i believe Phil lakk did the same thing ...

Re:6 handed AQ in cutoff facing utg raise
Ok i was the one in the hand and although he was a fairly short stack... he had been opening early fairly often. I would not say he was an aggro player but as far as aggresiveness is concerened i would put him #2 at our table and me probably being the 3rd. With this in mind i was telling my friend I really think flat calling folding when i miss the flop is super passive and just folding the hand outright is also way to passive. With this in mind i think my only line is 3 bet calling. Although I have been losing a lot of chips with aq recently in tournies and was wondering if this was a leak ...

Re:Over Play of AK Suited or COoler ?
thats why you take range into account, and AK is not a drawing hand against aq, kq, or ax... in that sense ak does not have to played in the same sense as any other drawing hand. We were not given the type of player the utg limper was, if he had been limping quite consistently then there is nothing that can be done here and i would consider this a cooler. I do not agree with your assesment of ak tho, completely wrong

Re:Bond18 on playing live players (funny stuff)
isnt a little hippacritical by saying dont be a hater when that is exactly what bond is doing for no apparent reason' Ripping on seeming nice guys because they might play 1 hand "incorrectly" by some standard. Granted I have heard bad things about some guys like "Devil Fish" but he bond is making personal attacks at people because of what he considers bad poker play. I think that is the real hating, so before you come at me with "dont be a hater" please have some substance to back it up. Thanks

Re:Bond18 on playing live players (funny stuff)
ya he is so informative ripping on players who have a) made more money than he can even fathom playing poker professionally and b) sustained it for a period of 20-30 years such as Barry Greenstein, Eric Seidel, or Phil Helmuth. There is only 1 right way to play.... and thats your way, thanks Bond!!
