The Laptops can be upgraded with UMTS Broadband module for wireless internet. Is that reliable ''' ............ On a sidenote, a "17" is probably a bit heavy ... Re:What is the best book to read on Online Tournament Play? Seriously, the best book available imo right now, is "One Pokerhand at a Time" by Pearljammer, Rizen, Apestyles ... You can get the book via PXF, and get some free vids with it as well; Part Two, which focuses on play after the bubble till FT + HU play is due in January 09 or so ... :-) But I still enjoyed the older Harrington books, HOH I-III . Re:Am I overthinking this all? Youre raising from UTG+1 and while there is an argument for calling Mick�s raise here, as you are getting better than 3:1 odds, I tend to actually fold here. This, because unless villain is seemingly aggro from previous encounters, your flipping here at best + your OOP raise should command some respect. Question is, whether Mick is threebetting for value, or recognizes this this as a spot for a profitable squeeze - this early, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and fold my hand, wait for a better spot. It still is a fairly new site, but they have some really good MTT vids, with guys like Ghettofabolous, Assassinato, USCphildo, Titantom32, Wretchy and some other competent players. PXF has more vids, but pokerpwnage have enough, that you wont run out of watching them, even if you watch like 5 to 6 vids a day, like I have been doing ... The have a couple of great vids teaching basics, mistakes to avoid, early, middle and late game strategies + have weekly member tournaments, where you can turn a 1-3 place finish, worth the $ 5.50 entry into a FREE ... Re:Intellipoker mistery Not really a mistery at all ... The Avatar was part of a free promotion which earned you IP - which you could convert to FPP on a 1:1 ratio. The points got earned for a) actually logging in & b) for each night, based on your VIP status at pokerstars. Now, they have cancelled the promotion for the time being, and cancelled the use of the Avatars as well. THAT simple. ************* And as a sidenote: having that Avatar doesnt necessarily mean "bad" player, since lots of players could benefit from the programm, you actually saw ppl at super tuesday or million final table ... Re:NEW 3R FORMAT I aggree :-) Take the structure of the new 3r 6-max 180 ppl tourney, put a 4K add-on and reduce the guarantee + get back to 60 min rebuy hour, and 5 min break after 60 minutes. Have been trying to find a good article, which outlines starting hand requirements, and some general consensous on how to play lowblind to highblind, including bubble - as opposed to Full Ring. Well, first of all, no matter what game you choose, you want to have between 60 to 65 buyins, or at the very least 45 buyins ( but that increases the chance of you going busto); So with a roll of $50 you should stick to $1 SNG�s. Now, obviously, pretty much every $1 SNG has a horrid rake, the only ones that are good are the 45 mans, which come at $1+0.10 - but if you play those, you need about double your current bankroll, to withstand the variance, because you will probably want to do the turbos, as the regular ones last about 2 hours, which is just half the time you need to invest into a ... VERY MUCH AGGREED :-) I dont need lik 40K guarantee on the 5r tournament, why not make the structure better, get back to the old levels, and mainly just put guarantees like 10K, 5K, 3K for the 10r, 5r, 3r - That may not be too much of an overlay, but still ok ! Use some of this money for the cubed rebuys, or put into action another tournament, maybe something like the Daily Double they have on Fulltilt, obv. Oh, and plz cut the rake on the 9mans $1 SNGs ... Have re-downloaded FTP at least thrice, but I cannot see a table, no avatars, no chips no graphics whatsover, sound is working fine, though. The tournament lobby does not work that ok, too. You could just take a pen + paper and note all cubeds on a daily basis with starting hours, shouldnt be that much of a problem ... would do it myself, but at work now.
