Re:what happened to Shaun Deeb? He signed into a 6 week yoga / pilates / meditation / cleansing retreat - he feels he needs to bring his physical, mental, and spiritual health up to speed with his poker game to rise to the next level. He will return on January 18th, 2010 to honor the late Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. That is all. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Facing cold 4bet with 88 on yesterday's $109... gamble? That said if you are deep enough where you can raise fold 88, you should probably be flatting 88 rather than turning it into a bluff by 3 betting (if you 3 bet a guy and he is any good, he will either 4 bet shove or fold oop, so a 3 bet with 88 would be like a 3 bet with trash, for the most part...its value is in calling) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Facing cold 4bet with 88 on yesterday's $109... gamble? When your stack size is like this, if you raise pre, you should be committed to going all in. You need a bigger stack to consider raise folding here. Either shove or raise with intention to call. The issue is not the call but the 3bet, which you should make in your position only if you are committed. With a mid pair, this is a spot where you have 2 options.... #1. Raise/commit/shove (all really the same); #2. Fold pre Calling is terrible - you aren't deep enough to have any set odds Raise folding - just horrendous and allows you to be abused if someone picks up that you are doing ... Re:Underaged Player Exposed!!!!!! Kind of silly to make this thread. Way more silly to hate on underagers. If anybody bitching about it could have made a bunch of money by playing underage, they would have. Anybody would. How could you pass it up' But honestly no need to gloat and rub it in everyone's face / create all this drama. Just pocket the money, shut your trap, and change your name when you turn 18. Re:TAKE ACTION: Tell Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear to Stop Attacking Poker! Steve Beshear supports legalizing casino gambling at horse race tracks and up to four other locations throughout the state. That type of gambling is 1000x as degen as poker ever could be. The hypocrisy here is sickening. If the guy wants to get a cut of Kentucky gambling, whatever, that's fine. But if he is going to be involved in that type of gambling, he is a first class prick for trying to interfere with online poker. I'd even vote republican to send this dirtbag packing. Re:How Do You Play JJ in this spot? JENNIFEAR Can you Help Me? Please/TY Generally vs a random player without history, a standard raise will get you more action (shoves) from hands you beat. Its that simple. Hands you are flipping against or behind will never fold pre here anyway, so you will always get it in vs those. Try to get those weaker hands to shove, as people love to shove blind vs blinds. You have enough blinds here that people wont be calling open shoves super light. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:How Do You Play JJ in this spot? JENNIFEAR Can you Help Me? Please/TY This is a monster 5 handed. Raise to 900 to induce the most action from worse hands. Do the same with 77+ vs a loose player. Never fold good or mid pairs here preflop. Never fold smaller pairs either, at least open shove them. You can open shove 22-66, etc. Don't shove bigger pairs unless you are someone who will never raise fold in this spot and the other playr is aware of that and he will adjust accordingly. If that's the case, you have to change it up to make yourself unpredictable...but that sort of situation is the rare exception to the rule. Otherwise, open shove low pairs and ... Re:WTF Spot in MSOP ME!? An "extremely aggro" player might do this shove with several pairs lower than JJ, probably quite a bit more often than they will do it with higher pairs. Often, with QQ+, a player will give you fold equity with those deep stacks to try to get you to shove over them. He most likely has AK, AQ, or a lower pair, although you cannot 100% eliminate qq+. Is this a player you think would level with qq+ on the off chance he can get you to call off with aq or aj or with an underpair' If you don't have some history or understanding of each other, probably not. To me, this is a clear call. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Nova vs Wiscomurry HU in UB 1K hand advise/anaylsis Just wanted to say congrats to Wisco on the cash here. He has always made some unorthidox plays, but is a player who trusts his gut, and I have seen him make reads that are pretty amazing. You can say whatever you want, but he has been bringing the $ back to Wisconsin consistently for a really long time now. Great work on another huge score. And of course congrats to nova on the win as well. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Separate account balances / one screen name Don't think I've ever really gone off on anyone in a forum before, really...but it gets annoying when people have nothing worthwhile to contribute, only negativity...if you don't like this idea or don't think it will succeed, why come on here and lecture me' What is the point of adding unconstructive, condescending crap when people are trying to be thoughtful and look for ways to improve online poker' So you don't think this will happen... how do you know' Maybe it won't, but I really don't see it as being such a difficult concept.
