Ameristar has a good 1-2 game but it's hard to get a seat, 2-5 NL and 3-6 Limit seats are pretty easy to get. Ameristar has a Sunday tourney at 10 am that is a $40 buy in with $20 rebuys, excellent structure. Harrahs has a Sunday tourn. at 10 ish (not sure the exact time) $50 buy in, horrible structure.

Go play the $10 180 on stars and you'll see the same competition. And make sure you announce what you are going to do when it is your turn ie. raise, call. Don't worry about announcing fold or check. And finally, protect your cards, you don't want a monster hand mucked by the dealer. Edit: The blinds structure is going to suck at a Harrahs event that is that cheap, play tight and try to get it in with the best before the blinds eat you up.

dude I'm not saying I'm some super hero, but can you really say that you would just sit there and be shot. CNN said that he was killing people execution style. Don't take any of this the wrong way, it just frustrates me that one guy could do all of that with no one doing anything about it.

I understand, I was just throwing that out there. There are a lot of companies out there that do tons of different things for the government. Contracts are given out by the government because private companies can come in and do something very quickly, and if they don't do a good enough job, the contract is given to someone else. It is a very competitive field and these companies pay their employees well, but at the same time, the government expects a lot for what they pay.

You guys might want to rethink some of your options if you are running out to get a job at BlackWater. I met a lot of SF guys in Iraq that had been offered jobs with them and they all turned it down. There are too many stories about BlackWater doing some dumb shit and getting people killed. There are plenty of other contracts out there that make plenty of money.

potato, I think one thing you have wrong is that being over qualified is not a bad thing. I went a couple of months living off savings because I was overqualified for a lot of jobs, but once I found a decent job it was well woth it and definitely made up for the down time in between. Of course if you have a HS diploma you can get all kinds of jobs, but if you want to improve your position in life you need to make an effort to do so. Not just sit back and take what comes. I'm the first person in my family to get a degree, so I know all too well about someone making 30K a year and working ...
