no u have missed it i am not comparing $1k to $1 i am comparing $2 to say $22 buy in i assume the majority of ppl dont mind blowing $2 but more people would be more carefull with $20 and would be putting money in to play not to jerk around shoving here there and everywhere

no complaining at all as i know they are a part of poker and a bigger part of smaller stuff just wanted to know what ppl thought that if they are too big a part in the lower limits to be worth playing...

can u profit in micro to low limits?
OK curious as to what people think as i have been playing a little challenge with a mate, multitable micro to low limit games $6 and under. We have to play 50 $2 9 player SNGs, 50 $3 KO 90 players and so on. We are both finding it harder than we thought due to some pretty amazingky shit calls from different players. Example your holding AK raise pre and flop comes AKQ rainbow with one caller, only minutes into a 90 player KO sng, u bet 3/4 pot they shove u call and they show J9 off only to hit a T. Super turbos people calling your all in with 76 and hitting str8s vs your KK or QQ. Now i ...

When to give up internet poker?
When do you decide to give up online poker and focus on live play' Is it when your $100 down' $500 down' $1k down' $5k' $10k' Or somewhere in between' I have had limited success over the last few years {about 3 yrs} over a few sites, playing cash games and SNGs. I cant win @ the lower limits $1/$2NL and under, but have had some good results in the $2/$4 and $3/$6 NL tables, but i dont have the bankroll to constantly play at these stakes. I am probably down $3k overall, after cashing out close to $8k over the last 3 years to pay some bill in between work, buy kids Birthday gifts and so on. ...

Hey all, I have seen {and even posted} some threads on gambling help for online gamblers. I found this guy online that uses emails and msn chat to help people. He doesnt claim to know it all and is himself still going through an online gambling battle. ever get that feeling that you should be going to gamblers meetings' i was kicking ass at $10 -$30 Heads up sngs working my way form $100 to $770 when i did my old trick of short stacking some cash tables of course with no luck, i do this time and time again. i have tried only leaving $100 in my acc and putting anything over in neteller but thats still to bloody easy to get to! any help and please no dickheads posting about being a looser and stuff

BR management is blah to me i play for fun breaks is diff, i play 5 days a week live and online i always allow 2 days rest and fam time in a week starting monday, it could be fri sat or tues sun and so on. {dont worry i play sunday USA time but thats monday here in OZ} if i have loosing days or weeks i take a week off and if i go bust i take a month off. gl sir

Making the switch to live play
following on from my last post about people being good live players and shit online players, i am wanting to hear from anyone who has made the switch from 75%online 25% live to 100% live play. is there any advice you can give me in how to handle swings as i believe they would have a different affect on a player as if you finish your week or month on a loosing session it might be a day or two or a week or more until you can hit the felt again and make a score again to regain your confidence. also one issue i have living in melbourne {Australia} is that we only have Crown Casino, for legal ...

i am pretty good at reading people and exploiting them when i feel they are week. i sit there and dont say anything and def dont get into the small talk at the tables, they dont even know i am there untill i have made a rasie to put them all in. its been working well and i think i am tryin to play the same style online but obv its not the right one

Can you suck online but be great live?
My question is this, can someone play really well live in MTT, Cash games and home games but suck some serious ass online' I have been playing live more the last 2 months and won a few local small buy in mtts at the casino $30 -$120 buy in and won my share of 1/2 and 2/4 cash games, not to mention the weekly home game. But online i am just dropping chips and coin like it was a slot machine. Has anyone else come across this and do you think i can change to become good at both'

i have deposited 4k over 3 sites and pulled out 3.3 to date but i have been down 3k at one stage its a bad time but as has been said before have a break, i use to self impose ban on the sites and that way i cant play. i also like to play small 5 or 10$ games with mates at home and start to enjoy poker more before i jump back into playing so serious online. good luck mate

Changing gears - When?
Hey guys i have been getting some deep stacks of late in both cash games and mtts by playing my super agressive fast paced game, but i always seem to donk off a pot which sucks in 3/4 of my stack on draws for example {all the bet amounts are rough} My stack 12000 Mr X 8000 My cards: Kh Th Board: Jh 6h 2s Pot 2500 I bet pot and am min raised to 5000 so i push all in come up against Ax6x and end up loosing a massive pot how do i know when to change gears and how much to slow down so i can avoid spots like this, that i had been previously hitting during the game''
