Sounds like you have it good right now. The extra $ won't be worth it if you're miserable every day. Keep working hard at your IT job and you'll get to where you want to be salary wise. "Wait until you are ready. The time will come. Everyone is unique. If leaving your job scares you now, wait. Don't do it. This isn't something someone can really give you advice on."

He didn't get that deal solely based on his numbers. He sells tickets (and brings women to the stadium, no homo), he's #2 in the league in jersey sales, he grew up in St. Paul and is considered a hometown hero. He could average .330/15/90 over the next seven years at first base and still earn every penny of that contract.

They make at least $12-15K during a seven-week stretch at the WSOP. That leaves 45 weeks left in the year. You do the math. PokerNews pays quite well fwiw.
