How is squeezing 77 or ATC for that matter a "leak" in a 1000 bb game' Sure table dynamics and image play a part, but in a vaccumm it isn't terrible and is probably profitable long term.

Re:The Wretchy Saga comes to an end
Please stop scaring off the fish. The more this sh#t that comes out the less +ev we all are. How many potential players at PS or FTP who see this kind of cheating don't sign up cause they think "online poker is rigged!" ''''' Probably more than you think. Ghosting, MAing, Playing with two accounts, etc affects every player who plays online. Not just HS mtt regs. While I don't really mind MTT regs playing at my cash tables under different accounts (cause most are terribad) its still shady and unethical. So lol at those who think this is "cool" and SOP. Just cause ...

Re:Kinda crazy hand vs ranked p5 in stars 320
Is this thread one huge level' Pretty much what GFactor said. If you are going to tarp like this please dont fold river to min-raise. Villian is obv leveling you with his min raise or thinks he is getting value from worst hand (which would be rly bad considering board texture and how you played hand).

Re:Unassigned?
He is a reg in the big LHE games on Stars. Yes, he was once a Poker Stars employee but now plays poker full time. While his run is sick, it is not suprising. He has a considerable edge against most nlhe mtt players. As Kenny stated, he puts a ton of pressure on his oponnents and is very comfortable playing shorthanded. The hand reading ability of most 6 max LHE regs far exceeds that of the average high stakes mtt player. Throw in some run goot and he is ++++++ev in SCOOP LHE fields.

Re:Over 90% of the p5's top 100 would be losing players in..
I have wondered this as well. I would say that most would be losing players in A-C in their first 18 months. On the flip side, how many of the Top 100 cash game earners (at A-D) could be winning high stakes mtt players' I think most if not all of them. The learning curve from mtt-cash is much larger than cash-mtt.

Not true. Read his Well on 2p2. He doesn't give a % that he has of himself but he does mention backers. Probably the same backers who he let play on his FTP account....

Re:Fairly deep 20r
Obv a sick spot. With no read and assuming that unknowns are most likely not thinking players, his flat range CAN be fairly wide here. I think not betting flop is obv safe but not the optimal play. I would bet 25-35% of pot on flop. If villian calls, I am getting to showdown as quick as possible. Your hand still has ton of value. Unkown villian is betting turn a high percentage of the time (with you checking the flop) with a wide range of hands. Like I said, this is a sick spot, but we dont have to give unknown villian a narrow range (AA, AK, KK). In general, the majority of the fields in ...

Re:Does anyone else think Scotty's antics are good for poker (viewership)?
I thought it was awful. Scotty lost tons of points in my book. He was completely out of line and made a fool out of himself. This in no way is good for poker or the poker industry. Scotty acted like a child in the most prestigious tournament of the year.

Re:Glorious shove by DJK in 1k on stars
I get that the shove makes sense given the math....in a vaccum. I appreciate the discussion and the math associated with it. However, I still feel that given the context of the shove and the amount of money at stake, it is spewwy and not optimal. If this is "flawed thinking" then gg me i guess.

Re:Glorious shove by DJK in 1k on stars
Thanks for clarification Stevie. I am not a huge ICM guy, but i get the general concepts. I get that 2bbs is an edge in this stacked tourney, but you have to be giving up some of your skill set edge here making this shove given the variance associated with the action. In short, the risk seems greater than the return when considering the said shover is the Top Ranked MTT player in world according to this site.

Re:Glorious shove by DJK in 1k on stars
So let me get this straight...At any point in a tournament, it is +ev to make this shove bvb' With any stack below 50 bbs' Are you suggesting that this is the optimal play with this hand everytime you are opening a pot verse one opponent' Sorry if the questions seem repetitive, but I am just trying to wrap my head around this.

Re:Glorious shove by DJK in 1k on stars
Is this one huge level by ranked players to encourage such glorious shoves in future donokaments' This is just bad imo. I get the math, but if you feel you are atleast +ev against the average skill set of the field left, why do this' Honestly, I feel that if this post was referring to some random mirco donk shoving 2532423 BB with Q10ss the discussion might be a little different. Just my two cents.

Re:This spot made me think a bit.
Tough spot here OP. As played, I am cool with pre, but would tend to slow down after flop. I take the same line as Villian with AK on similar flops. Its tricky and makes it tough to get away from AQ. I have also been in the same spot as you. However, looking at your turn shove, what is he calling this with that we beat' Its a sick spot. We have alot of our chips in the pot and Villain has shown strenghth. Tough to get away from this hand cheaply as played on flop. So, IDK, kind of cooleresque imo.
