Bellagio 1.5K down to final 18- still in it
Well right before the dinner break I was down to 2.6K from 60K right before the money bubble. Then went on a megaheater and ended the night at 112.5K. That puts me about 10K above the average and in 8th place with 18 players remaining. Just one hand I wanna post on here cause it was a little ridiculous and I can't believe I pulled the trigger on it and although i lost 2K in chips on it. It cost me 2K to win 60K so I pulled the trigger on a gutsy feeling, here's how it went down with about 30 players left. Action folds around to the cutoff who makes it 7K total, I call behind with 23 suited on ...

wish me luck...1.5K Bellagio, 59 left
its dinner break with 59 left and 50 places pay. I was chipleader at my table with about 65K til an hour ago and now I'm short stacked after two donkey/misread calls.....got 7.6k well below the average with the 800/1600/200 coming up after the break. I've had fun though. Started the day with Colson10 on my table. After he was eliminated David Singer and Joe Awada sat down. I knocked both of them out so that was fun. Only my second ever live tournament so hopefully I can at least double up a few more times and contend.

Re(1): COLTS FANS PLEASE....
agreed, never knew that a team that represents "team" more than most others out there, could be hated so much til this year. I guess people just get sick of the same teams doing good, which is odd. I'm a diehard pats fan and I'm real pissed about the loss but I know we arent gonna win EVERY time. Great comeback by the Colts and although we lost that game is one of the best I've ever seen, Good luck Colts in the Super Bowl. And although not to be a sore loser, I was really pissed and still am that Ellis Hobbs gets called for OBVIOUS pass interference in the endzone with a correct call and then ...

Re(3): Sklansky closed minded challenge
does the bet take place before the lie detector test...if so, than sklansky is gonna own. Most people may think they will take the test, and then if they are smart and thinking correctly they will without question probably somewhat doubt whether they are 95% sure on his question and thus fail the lie detector test. If he wants to have a valid bet, the 50K shouldnt be at risk until the pass the lie detector test AND THEN put the money on the line in the math test. If this were the case, sheets you got nothing to lose if you think you could pass the test and then take the math test for the ...

Re(1): Sklansky closed minded challenge
I havent read everyone's posts but I can say this from what I've read of the challenge. What Sklansky is saying is that anyone who can beat him on an SAT or intelligence test obviously has to have a high logical level. Therefore, anyone who scores that high would be in the category of logically questioning whether christ was resurrected or not. They may be Christians and that is their belief but anyone with that brainpower (high enough to beat Sklansky an intelligence test) wouldnt be able to say that they believe with over a 95% certainty that Christ was resurrected. I personally am a ...

Re(5): Got this from Bill Frist website.
At least he's not letting his church down The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has a long history of opposition to all forms of gambling as an abdication of stewardship. A 1950 statement described gambling as "an unchristian attempt to get something for nothing or at another's expense."(1) Twenty-five years later, a Presbyterian General Assembly adopted a statement calling upon its members "to exert influence on local, state and national legislative bodies to oppose all forms of legalized gambling, e.g., lotteries, bingo, pari-mutuel betting, dog racing, horse racing, ...

Re(13): ZeeJustin to speak tonight
You guys are all ridiculous...readng this thread I thought N8 made some interesting evaluations and statements and because he doesnt say "Zeejustin is a filthy cheater" everyone says he doesnt get it. In the real world when you commit a crime you are convicted and "pay your debt" that the system deals out. Well I think Zeejustin was caught and given a punishment by the poker sites removing a certain amount of his cash, basically the judiciial system of online poker cause what they say goes. What N8 was saying basically is that maybe he got less or more of a punishment than he deserved, ...

Re(2): Should Bax stick to Online Poker?
You know what' I was gonna post something to this argument, but I already did earlier and came back to see responses and you know what, IT WAS DELETED. That means that about 33% of my posts on here have been deleted. My post wasnt out of line, or maybe it was cause I didnt jump into this thread and say "Johnny Bax rules and whoever posted this is a donk" like everyone else in this thread who has their posts still up. I said that I opened this thread not thinking the original poster was being overly rude towards Bax. Everyone knows he's a sick poker player and I even said in my post before it ...

Re(13): my god is this annoying
I've never been so pissed....heads up final, 15 hands in, his 27K chips to my 21K I have K9, board is QJ77, he bet preflop and he bet the flop...I called both times so now when the 7 hit on the turn I bet out, representing a 7, he raised, I reraised, he reraised quite a bit more so he obviously had a 7 or JJ or QQ. I go to fold my hand after his 8K rereraise, I put my finger on the touchpad while the arrow is still over RAISE and lo and behold, it clicks raise leaving me with 900 chips. and of course he raises all in and I now have to call my last 900 chips with just a gutshot with one card ...

only good thing about this is after another hour when blinds reach the amount to put someone all in in the big blind, is that I'll have a 50/50 chance of facing them and getting a free pass into the final

Re(3): my god is this annoying
I'd rather watch the English Patient than deal with another hour of this shit which is gonna have to happen for the blinds to reach high enough to put the shorter stack all in.....55 minutes of "sitting out" and "disconnected", please make it end EDIT - worst part is the "disconnected" guy probably wont come back cause its been so long disconnected he'll think he's out and have no reason to keep trying to recconect, I'd give up after an hour of "disconnected" too

my god is this annoying
so anyway....I'm playing in the Vermont World Cup Qualifier right now, down to 5 people, we are waiting on one more match to go to the next round...WELL, this one guy in the match had to leave at 4, he had a 7K-5K chiplead, so he sits out, then about 30 seconds later, the other guy disconnects. Its been 30 minutes now with one guy disconnected and the other sitting out and we are all waiting on that match, blinds are at 200-400 so this could take a while.....

I could be wrong but I think he has a -ROI in tourneys...so that pokerdb listing cant be judged as good. Its like that player from before named Hamman, I always figured he must be real real good since he was a top TLB player, turned out his db was a big negative one. he had a lot more losses than profits, I guess he was just a guy who loved to play poker a lot regardless of his wins and losses. In Hall's case I think his pokerdb is a negative one but I cant remember, I dont have the subscription to the updated db anymore...whatever the case though, he is a sick cash game player regardless of ...
