Re(2): How will sites stop cheaters? Right...I agree with you all, except moron, haha! But I am really looking for some constructive solutions here from the best and the brightest. How about it, guys and gals' Technically or whatever, how do we stop this' Surely there are some computer whizzes out there with some ideas....or are you all multi-accounting' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): How will sites stop cheaters? No, moron....I'm a NO-stakes nit, and will remain so until this gets resolved. And you have no idea of my skill level, or the amount of study I've put in...but just for the fun of it, let's assume I'm a newbie fish....THAT is why everyone should care about me! How will sites stop cheaters? I am a new poker player, and after much study and practice I was very near to committing money to play online. I was already concerned about the possibilities of colluding, etc. online, but after having read all the cheating threads here in recent days, I am not spending one cent until this gets resolved. The following sentence is the most important issue for the whole industry: How are we/you/they going to stop this''' I don't want to hear, "It can't be stopped." That won't satisfy me. We must find a way....otherwise it's, "Hasta la vista, baby." Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Rankings response... (sorry I posted this twice) An analogy: You're taking a 100-question test, and on question 57 the teacher sees you copying the answer from someone else. He puts a red "x" on #57, and you finish the test. Your final result is 99 out of 100, with #57 counted wrong. Do you get an "A'" Or is the paper ripped up and thrown out because you cheated' The answer is obvious. The ranking is questionable because of cheating. (I don't care how "smart" the test-taker may be; nor does it matter what a "great" poker player the cheater is....they FAIL the test!) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): What Really Happened... Re: "No more accounts from the same IP address, period, regardless of how many computers. Or at least they can NEVER log on at the same time. Well, that's not really fair to those who live in dorm rooms, apartments, or houses with multiple computers and people who like to play poker." Yes, it probably isn't fair. Neither is it fair that we have cheaters who may ruin the whole industry. What is the solution'! I emailed Party the following (slightly different from my last post). I'll post if they respond: "subject: cheaters, jjprodigy To Whom it May Concern, I posted this on regarding ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): What Really Happened... From a new poker player who was almost ready to jump into real-money online play: This is all very disturbing. I was already concerned about the potential of cheating online via collusion, etc, and now this. I don't know enough about computing to offer a solution, but I will anyway (and I am copying this to Party): No more accounts from the same IP address, period, regardless of how many computers. Or at least they can NEVER log on at the same time. I know cheaters will find a way around this, but it's a start. Until I have this assurance from Party and others, I will not be investing ...
