Backing and Staking Discussion yea, Im new to staking and think the penny has dropped now. Btw this was pure hypothetical and Im not in this situation with anyone right now. Im assuming when on somewhere like ptp where people offer one time plans and advertise 60/40 w/ makeup its essentially only meaning stakeback'...and it only becomes makeup if plan runs again or I play for this staker again. Thanks anyway Ahurazor, hopefully getting my head round things now :) Posted in: Poker Community |

Backing and Staking Discussion This may be a stupid question but anyway here goes... Say, for example, a staker gives me a one time deal, One session - $100 worth of MTTs, 50/50+MU..... I whiff the lot, no returns I'm now $100 in mu with this staker. It was a one night agreement so our agreement is over. Do I only need to worry about this MU if I play for this particular staker again' Am I now free to accept a stake from another backer' Or, do I need permission from said staker to play for someone else' Just a little confused on how this things work! Would be grateful is someone could clarify this hypothetical ... Posted in: Poker Community |

Player with $9k profit from 2k sample, MTTs under $30 ($9 ABI) - Seeking Backing Deal Hi, I'm Kel and I'm 28 years old from Sunderland, England. I am initially seeking backing to play all MTT's in the $3 - $22 freezout and $3 rebuy range. My stats, filtered to MTTs under $30, are as follows (stats taken from Sharkscope covering my usernames on stars, FTP and party): Games Played 2093 Av. Profit $4.56 Av. Stake $9 Av. ROI 60% Total Profit $9,540 I will be able to play between 30-50 hours per week. Ideally I would love a backer who could help me become profitable above the $30 level after proving myself at the lower stakes over a larger sample. I am completely open to ... Starting out in cash games Evening all Ive decided to give cash games a shot seing as though i really am struggling with time to play MTTS. Im probs gonna be able to play around 20 hours per week. Can anyone offer any advice on how to start out' ie essential reading, level to start off at whilst learning the ropes, opinions on multi tabling' more post flop play less tables' coping with boredom which I imagine must become an issue at some stage! Softest site for cash (party'), I mean I love playing on stars but will move to another site if its worth it' 6max or FR - whenever ive ever dabbled I enjoyed 6max ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Deep in multi table trny and get re-raised all the time 3x'ing that deep in a tourney just makes u stand out as being weak or inexperienced (to me it does anyway...), also when i'm looking for stealing opportunities stealing a 3x makes the risk of the steal that little bit more worth the risk than say stealing a 2.2x.....but what do i know :) Also as already stated itt its excellent that u got 3b ak v T6 lol Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Pokerstars ups rake if you read the announcement on stars website, they actually say that on average the rake has slightly decreased. So I guess it depends what games you play as to whether you're happy or not.. Posted in: Poker Sites |
