RIP Bert Sugar
use to hear Bert on McCowns fan 590 up here in Toronto. Just read a great boxing book called Jacobs Beach about boxing in NYC in 40, 50, 60s. anyone read it' If you like history of the sport and are interested in fighters and times of those years its a good read. Berts name comes up a few times in the book. What an interesting life he led.

best tv series[comedy] of all time
Im old enough to have watched all sitcoms going back to late 60s and it really is the characters and how they relate that makes a good sitcom. Best of all time is of course persoanl preference, mine, and I dont even think its been mentioned yet is 1. WKRP in Cincinnatti- incredible cast of characters 2. Seinfeld- George and Kramer both brilliant in this show 3. Taxi 4. early Mash episodes with McLean Stevenson as colonel Blake all others are distant imo

Hey Guys, i got back late last night and this is the first chance I've had to get on the site. I finished in 4:12:22. It appears the winner is BossHogg122 who guessed 4:14:12. I'll contact him today. If anyone cares about the race itself or is thinking of running a marathon this would be the one to run. I have only ran 1 before, in Ottawa last year, but this was totally different. The crowds were fantastic and in spots along 1st ave, 5th ave, central park and 1 area in Brooklyn they must have been 3/4 rows deep. not sure about everyone but i have 3 pairs of shoes that i tend to rotate. The pair I'm wearing for this race i haven't used in about 2 weeks as they are supposed to regain " life' if you let them sit. They have about 100 miles in total on them. The 7-8 pairs of shoes i have worn previously have actually all been the same but when i went to buy a new pair about a month ago in perperation for this race, my style were out of stock. I bought a totally new style and although not sure about it at first i love these new ones. Hope they work well.

Hey thanks, hope all is well in Maryland geez guys i'm an idiot. I'm in Canda and obv can still play on Stars. I'll figure out a way to get the $ shipped whether it be to a buddy who can still play or some other way. I am running the NYC marathon this Sunday and have been looking forward to this for a couple of years. So if anyone else wants to get in on the fun I'll ship $20 on stars to the closet guess to my personal chip time. Please note that if you win I'll need a few days to get a hold of you. A newbie here as far as stock trading goes but it seems interesting and I though I would deposit a couple of grand into an account and make some small investments. Only problem is e-trade seems to be rejecting me because I'm in Canada,. Anyway others have this problem' If so is there a site where it is easy for us to deposit/ make trades etc.

like other poster I have taken many cruises, 8 years in a row on march break. Been on Carnival, Costa, Princess and Royal Caribbean. RC very expensive but really good in all aspect. Princess also very nice although I have heard it tends to be an older crowd, ( we went on break so it wasn't that week but it may be a problem other times in the year) carnival has many kids if you are looking for that, Costa meh. Eastern, Western or Southern Caribbean are all options, although imo the Southern tends to hit the better islands ( Aruba, Curacao, Bonnaire) thus more $. If you take Eastern Caribbean ...

Yeah I understand that. I do say in the last line of my post that this would begin when the November run is over. I suppose i am asking for ways to gain bulk given my frame size. ( not small, but not large- 6'2', 200lbs) is it more reps with heavier weights' OK Gambo, will try this, this is what I was looking for as I have no clue in the gym. Although I don't waste time I'm also sure I do not utlize it to the max either

In Jan 09 I began to run. Training for a 1/2 marathon, which I ran that spring. Since then I have been a pretty consistent runner, completing 4 half marathons and 1 full marathon in that time. This November I am running the NYC marathon, which is kind of the culmination of all this training. I am in pretty darn good shape for a 50 yr old, having lost about 20lbs since i started. My question is this. Right now I do a couple of days a week of 30 minutes core strength stuff. Nothing fancy, pushups, situps, light curls , bench press etc. and although i'm in good shape i dont think I'm getting ...

just ran a 1/2 on the weekend, 1:50:23, my slowest one yet ( getting old) Anyway recently found out I'm in this years NYC Marathon on November 6th. Hopefully i am trained properly but looking forward to this :)
