they need to speed up their software. my buddy was in a rakeback freeroll where he was the only active player, so everytime it folded around and it still took over 10 seconds per hand.

Re(6): Foxwoods 1/2 NL Buy-in Raised?
Online I'm a big supporter of always making sure you have the max buyin so you can build a stack and cover everyone at the table. I prefer to play as deep as possible. Starting with half a normal stack is frustrating to me because it will take me some time to build my stack up to what the others at the table have. When I have 100 bucks and the opening raise is to 50 it's not real poker to me. "what's the problem with someone raising $50'" I have no problem with it once I build my stack. Until then it's push/fold poker. "What the hell are you talking about, "actually play poker", sounds ...

Re(3): Foxwoods 1/2 NL Buy-in Raised?
My point is that the max buyin is so short and annoying that I would like to be able to buyin to cover the table (or at least buyin for 100bbs) so I can actually play poker. I mean it pretty much limits what you can do when if you 3bet preflop you have half your stack in. I'm not kidding when I say that at my table there was a guy whose opening raise was 50 bucks, half the max buyin.

Re(1): Foxwoods 1/2 NL Buy-in Raised?
I played in the 100 this summer one night. It really sucks. Buying in for 100 when everyone else at the table has 400+ and one guy has 800 is just stupid. I might as well go shortstack some 10/20nl online.

Re(3): Howard Lederer on Online Gambling Ban (NY Daily News)
HVD sort of expressed some of the thoughts that I had on the issue. The gov't is not that stupid. It would not be easy for them to pass a law for regulation. Them passing (or attempting to pass) this law (IMHO) is just the first step towards regulation. If this bill passes, there will be an uproar and it will not be effective at all. Americans will still play online poker whether this bill passes or not. Well, then the government can come back and say "Ok guys, that didn't work (big shocker), so now give us a few hundred million dollars so we can regulate it and tax the hell out of it" and I ...

Re(1): BoDogAri
AQo: Win 35.6% 44: win 32.7% 10Ko: win 31.32% Ari has nothing invested in the pot when he pushes. 67% of the time he is going to leave himself crippled with a little over 600 chips. I have tons of respect for Ari's game, but this is not a good play. He has a significant edge over his opponents, and playing this hand this way does not take advantage of that.

Re(1): To the people who say they never fold KK preflop....
ty PearlJammer for the insight. I hate folding here, and I probably end up timing out because it's so hard to click fold, but I also fold here. Limping and facing 2 raises, he most likely (in my experience probably 80% of the time) has AA. The fact that he has slightly more than a full buy-in also makes me want to fold. If he has maybe 75% of a buyin I probably make this call. I just see too many people limp in hopes of getting some money in the pot and then push to take it down preflop because it is difficult to fold aces on a non-scary board once you see the flop. As others have said, I ...
