The mathematics of poker - has anyone read it properly? Tried very hard to read the 1st chapter, for several hours while on holiday last yeat. Really tried, but the book is fucking hard work In the end i gave up. It's still on my shelf so may give it another try one day, from what i did read and from flicking through the rest of the chapters there's some good quality in depth stuff in there. For what (somehow) poker related reason(s) do you smoke weed? I was a very heavy smoker for 12 years before I started playing poker (I'm 31) and been playing poker 3 years. Overall I wish I could turn back the clock and not have been high as much as I was over the years as I probably missed out on a lot and made some bad life / financial choices.. I stopped smoking so much a few years ago when my son was born, and will never smoke to anywhere near the levels I used to, however I recently bought a nice big bag and found it can help to relax between sessions and take my mind off poker, which leads me to feeling fresher when I return to the tables. Married and playing Poker Sounds like you should work out what times she would prefer you to be playing poker.. Maybe you could mix up your schedule a bit so you spend time with her during the days and go play late night poker instead when she sleeps.. OR Have agreed time slots that she decides on (and try your best to stick to them) .. I konw its not always that simple and women can be dififcult,, i;ve tried to discuss a schedule with my wife and shes never agreed to anything so i do my best to fit poker around the times when my wife and kids dont need me around,, Mostly when theyre asleep.. gl sorting it out. Am I the only one who loves M.E.T.s? This would be great for the players, not so great for full tilt, there would be more overlays and more equity in each mtt. Full Till will always go with the option that makes them the most money and credit to them they've been more innovative than any other site at extracting the maximum rake from players, but doing it in a way which keeps people interested and actually gets most of them excited. Extreme Multi Tabling! Just take a free trial for this weekend of tableninjaFT and tableninja. It will definitely make it easier to play more tables but I would advise taking some time to set it up how you want and practice on a few tables before jumping straight onto 10-12, which I expect to be the max you can comfortably play with that setup. how do you rebound from a disappointing session? Sure you could get high / drunk or head staight to the nearest brotthle. I would prefer to take some time out , study the game, review your sessions and see if you've busted out of these mtt's due to bad luck bad play, constantly try to learn from every bustout and think about what you could have done differently. I know I have times when I play well but it doesn't work out. Other times I know I could have played better & that's when it's time for a break. Betfair issues.. Can anyone give me some advice? I've had money disappear from my Betfair account on Saturday 15th Jan and Sunday 16th Jan. Although i'm not sure of the exact amount, i know its between a minimum of $520, up to ~$800 (maybe more') They are reassuring people it will be refunded but i'm starting to worry as i've had no refund yet but i know some people have. I have emailed them again, but they can take a while to respond and haven't yet responded to the email i sent yesterday. It's very frustrating, and although it's not a huge amount of money it's significant to me and i feel very strongly that in principle they should not ...
