Excerpt for my blog...sorry for the length. So I get into my first big confrontation with about $420 in front of me. Most of the table was sitting with less than $200 in front of them except for an older man who had just busted a younger lady with the A high flush to her K high flush. He had a little over $900 from what I could count. Two players limped from early position, older man limps and a young kid raised to $12 from the hijack (only had $75 behind) and I make the call with A8 hearts from the button knowing most everyone else will join the pot getting good odds to call. 1. definitely a raise...would prefer a raise on turn to insure getting all the money in. 2. Fold 3. Congrats 4. 100% raise flop... he could have turned a big draw Js10s and wasn't going to fold to any bet, pot committing himself...possible he has Qx and thinks you are drawing to flush. Probably have to fold after turn unless you know this player will stack with marginal holdings. 2/1 fav over big draw and way behind to other 2-pairs. 5. Insta-call...way ahead of his range... over pair to board most likely...possible 99.

Got a buddy going to vegas to bet NFL, NCAA and NBA with a "system" to chase underdogs that have lost 3+ games against the moneyline. He has some backers and close to a 200k bankroll. 1st game - 1x 2nd game - 1x 3rd game - 2x 4th game - 4x 5th game - 8x 6th game - 16x 7th game - 32x WHat are the chances of success' Not sure what X= ...probably $100-200'

Raise or call at river...
Opponent was a 17/8/5 player, while I play 22/18/3.5. Flop the nuts and I didn't expect the raise at the river...I know he has filled up with a >5% chance he takes this line with an QQ+ Correct in just calling or should I just get it all-in. I called, but I think its the wrong play now that I look back. I was playing 8 tables...normally play 4-6.
