Difficult hand at live 2/5. What do you do?
Some funny advice itt. I play live 2/5 an absurd amount. Preflop is w/e, folding isn't terrible or anything. As long as you don't have a problem playing multi-way post flop it's ok, I agree with gags though. Flop we are obviously most concerned with villain2 as that's where we will make the most of our money. His range is sets/2pair/overpair with a club/TxJc/AcXx/ and the made straights. Anything other than shoving the flop is pretty lol, you have equity you just need to get it in. Guy will be getting like 3.5:1 to call you so he should be calling a lot. This is the part im somewhat struggling with and pretty much hated life on the turn in general. I had his range so weak that I just wanted to take this pot down and not give any more cards, so I guess in general hoping for a fold, which means I'm bluffing' I'm obv not really happy if he calls, although I would expect to see a worse hand sometimes from this paticular guy. If the turn goes check check, and I check river - I can expect to be bluffed off my hand a lot. He wasn't playing fit or fold. My read on him at this point is that he would bet any descent ten himself on the flop. My reason for betting the flop is he was already checking out of turn. Without seeing him check I probably check the flop myself. Knowing this info what hands are you assigning him and are you still check/ giving up on the turn given his perceived weak range' I know this goes past the actual hand itself which you might not care to share but what is your cutoff' Are you folding tens here' My cutoff for flatting was 88+ assuming that's wrong how tight should it be sorta deep in a big live event like this'

Hey everyone, haven't posted here in a while as I don't really utilize the forums anymore. However I need some more opinions on this hand in this past weekend's 1k event. I don't play tournaments too often anymore, just some of the bigger buyin, big field ones like this that have a lot of value. Here we go. In the money. UTG is somewhat tight, haven't seem him get out of line or show down anything weak. MP is a donk with a lot of chips, older guy wearing a visor & sunglasses. Are you 1 tabling' Sounds like you found your leak, just fix it and get up when you're up a few buyins. Also don't fix what isn't broken and start calling more than you normally would in the early-mid stages of the match.

I know the guy who will be running it/a few dealers. 24 tables, mainly catering to smaller stakes 5-10NL and lower, 30-60holdem and lower. great location next to food, parking, etc. I'm pretty excited. I have no info on any tournaments they will be running.

bad river card, check it back. AJ AQ shouldn't really be in his range given flop action. With just calling the check raise he is drawing a lot and like every one got there. The only feasible hands you beat are some two pair hands like 78, A5s who hate the river card also, which are folding a lot anyway if you bet the river. Should you bet and get shoved that's just gross so avoid that all together.

lol this thread is gross. Interesting replies though, especially mathclubs. Tips are a part of a dealers income, they are compensated so low due to the fact that they receive tips. That is a known fact, so the argument that "oh they took the job that made $7.00 they should know what to expect" doesn't make sense. I agree you won't make much of a difference at all to any one dealer's tips for the night. You only play $1/2, and if the cardroom is big you will only see them once and cost them maybe $2-6 depending how many pots you drag in that 30 minute period. This is ...

If you saw the way he ran this shit over from like 20 down you'd probably shove the fours too. It seemed natural that the 4 binked, and sick snap call by pokercinni too. Shoving has to be better than folding short handed and he has everyone covered 2x, sure he doesn't have aces, but he could probably do it with aces now.. gg wp etc.
