Re(7): fossilman beats AA, KK with QQ and an awful call
The problem here is people are analyzing it after seeing the result that KK and AA were out there and going "oh of course it was KK and AA!". If this hand had been shown without the results being shown, just "is this a good call'" people could have different opinions.

Re(4): PokerStars statement on Gank/Exclusive/El Capitano
No point in having a rule you can't enforce' Awesome, I'm going to go and run a bunch of really well programmed bots on pokerstars now that can't be detected (ie. winholdem). I am glad to see that the pocketfives community has no problem with this, after all, online poker is different than live poker!

Sorry, I mean break even in the sense of.. to make the same amount they would using the non-subscription method. And I agree this would be nice, I just am pointing out the main logisitical problem with it: Noone with the power to do it would ever do it.

Re(1): Subscription based online Poker
Or why not just make a normal poker site and have the subscription thing as an option, if everyone is worried that it'd take too long to get subscribers this way. Honestly, I think the major flaw in this idea is that while customers might love it, if someone was going to go to all the trouble of starting an online poker site, which would be an incredible amount of work, when they get to the point where they go "okay, should we charge a large rake that everyone will pay, or should we go with a rake-free subscription system to save people money'", they'll just go with the guaranteed money. The ...

Re(1): Noble Poker and the recent issues
Nice someone is talking to them, maybe the first thing you could explain to them that the rule that you can't cash out your PROFITS because they gave you $10 is not helping them. I am glad you are in touch with them, but I think your post is misleading as to what the problems are with them, the problems aren't that you can't cash out the $10, and if they do want to address the real problems, they just have to read all the other threads. But good work on trying to help, you are already more useful than their communications director who posted here previously.

Re(1): Pokerstars Satellite Question
someone already said yes, but to help further, the way you actually unregister is to go to the lobby for the tourney in question and click the unregister button. just adding this cause the first time I tried to do this I couldn't figure out how to do it, so i emailed support and they took too long and i had to play the game in question.

Actually if you "won" it you might be able to write off your legal costs trying to actually GET the money. If you actually received 1 million dollars from Noble Poker... haha, sorry, can't write, tears swelling up with tears of laughter.

Re(2): noble poker scam warning - great site unless you want to actually withdraw!
You haven't read the full thread obviously. They give you the bonus without you asking for it, and don't mention the stipulations, and when they give you the bonus they don't let you cash out ANY of your money until you clear it. Read this for more info too, another guy burned by them. But really, read the thread, they just give you bonuses out of nowhere without you asking and then say "oh you can't withdraw ANY of your money until you have cleared this bonus". $3 bonus you didn't ask for = you can't withdraw $800 you had in your account already. Do lots of ...

Re(1): noble poker scam warning - great site unless you want to actually withdraw!
I can't believe Noblepoker, they go from hilarious to sublime. When Brian posted in this thread that you had to fax in your license and credit card, I sort of ignored it, I read it quickly and thought it was a joke. I was wrong. When I signed up, I paid via credit card. Then I tried to withdraw via Neteller, but it wouldn't let me without depositing via Neteller first, so okay, I put some cash in via Neteller. Then when I tried to withdraw (after the other hurdles they set up including 2-3 day waits between any of their arbitrary processes... "ok you have made a withdrawal request! wait 2-3 ...

Re(1): NOBLE sit n go score
Dude, good luck, but anyone who has read the other thread about Noble already knows that the odds of anyone winning the million are VERY slim to say the least. Also if someone does win, they most likely will say "oh wait, we just gave you a $3 bonus you didn't ask for, but don't worry, you can cash out your $1,000,003 just as soon as you play 2 million raked hands! p.s. our site only actually has 5 raked hands per day". And then you will need to fax in your birth certificate, driver's license and a signed affidavit from your great-great-grandfather that you are indeed ...

Re(5): Mahatma
If you are scared of top set everytime you had second set, or a flush everytime you have top set and there happen to be 3 spades on board, you are going to be laying down the best hand way way too often. Especially short handed! Mahatma could easily have checked the flop with another monster (AA, lower set), or cause he figured Hassan had a king. DW is right, once the jack hits, the money is going in no matter what.

Re(4): Omaha Players feedback Requested On This Hand
I think bottomline, if you had them on sets or 2 pairs (which you obviously did) you made the right call with an awesome hand against their hands. You got their money in when you were a big fave, can't argue with that.

Re(1): there is NO WAY i can DESCRIBE this hand....CRAZIEST MOVE i have ever seen
Q-10 or something' I mean yes, dumb. I saw a hand my friend played at a 6 handed 5-10 holdem cash game recently where 5 people capped it preflop (or all 6') and the pot was $200 or $205 or so, and my friend was first to act and bet the flop (AJx or something) and EVERYONE folded. It was insane, wish I had kept the hand history. I guess everyone had underpairs and then the one time they had amazing odds to chase a set they folded.

Re(1): Why does bodog only take US customers?
Well, the WPT's online site does not allow US users, because they have directors from the US, who would be liable to prosecution if they broke US gambling laws. I would assume Bodog has a similar problem with Canada'

Re(1): Huge 100NL Hand-Thoughts On My Play
I don't think your play was awful, but I don't think your raise was enough on the turn to make him fold. I may be doing the math wrong, but the pot was about 80 bucks after he bet the turn, and then you put him all in for his last 90 bucks (which if he wins the pot he takes down 310 bucks). I'm not saying I instacall if I'm him, but most players at these stakes probably would call there, so I don't think you had much fold equity. If you both had like 500 bucks in front of you and you went all in, he has a way tougher decision. In this situation, I think if you really want him to fold, you ...

Re(1): help me plan for the wcoop! trying to get a seat with fpp's
Geez, if you're running that hot, I'd just keep playing a few more 90 and 50 FPP sats and see how many FPPs you can save up, and then do it all. I love those 90 FPP sats, I've done well in them too, there's a lot of value in those, so many people in them who are playing them like freerolls and don't understand satellite strategy at all when it gets down to the end.
