plo $55 2nd hand flop spot
I really do not like bloating the pot this early in the tourney with such a small chance of being able to get our whole stack in the middle. We have a very weak AAxx hand and should be flatting the 3 bet pre instead of 4 betting big.

I have to agree here. AK, sets, and air (very small percentage) make up his range to raise the river here. I am assuming there is no real history between you two to make air a higher percent of his range. I always hate when I come up with an excuse to call here when I know that I am beat.

Deep Stacked 1/2 NL hand $750 Effective Stack Help
If he is never folding here, as you stated he plays tp pr like the nuts, the turn had to give him at least 2 pr or he already has a set, if not the nuts. Do you think this type of player is ever folding to a shove' I just think you have put yourself in a very difficult spot and he is not deep enough for you to continue with the hand if he is never paying the flush/gutter off on the river so calling is out. If he is never folding to a shove its a bad shove. I would fold.

Backing and Staking Discussion
If you had not had any experience playing on Merge I would recommend option B to get used to the software, players, blind structures and tournament schedules. You have played over 1000 tourneys on Lock and know what your approximate ROI will be. Option A is the only viable option. You just need to start grinding. If you are playing a full schedule up to $60 FOs and up to $30R you may have swings a little higher than 2-3k but if your backer can keep you funded you should be fine. Good luck!!

LOL. If you are going to play tournaments you need to understand you will have many deep runs that end this way. Just put in enough volume and the results will be there.

Merge Network Mtt's
My last Carbon Poker cashout took 9 days start to finish. The first cashout took 5 weeks though. Things are going to get tougher on the site as I doubt most of the pond dwellers are redepositing and there are no new US sign ups to keep the games going.

Rec'd 2nd C/O from Carbon yesterday. Very quick process this time, 2 weeks start to finish, cash in hand as of this morning. My confidence in Carbon is increasing day by day. Now we just need new sign ups to start happening as most of the winning players are going to siphon off the site quickly with out it!!

The reality is we all have to start at the bottom and move up or we pay for it dearly in -ROI. Back when I could play on stars I would play the 25cent sngs for fun during my work day and they are truly easy to play. But, I play a much higher avg BI. Start low, learn the game and move up as your BR allows you to. I have always been in favor of saving up $500 to deposit, as you have a sweat equity invested, and starting in the $2-$4 BI 180s on stars because the games are still great skill builders. LOL to the flame throwers here about game theory. I used to get flammed on here constantly ...

My bank would not do the Cash W/D from the card because my name was not on the Card. Went to big bank ATM and W/D whole balance. It cost me a $3 ATM fee. Not bad. Very good job carbon!!

Supposed to be able to W/D up to $700 at the ATM or your full balance at a bank. There are fees for the ATM but they are from the ATM you are using to W/D. I am just going to bring mine to the bank and W/D the whole balance at once.

How would you play this - Bad Call or Bad Beat ?
Top set is way ahead of your opponents range here. I would not lose too much sleep over this hand but would recommend not playing small ball preflop at the BI level you are playing here.

Ideas to Improve Merge Tournaments
1) The table change timer is irritating. Just move me and have a box pop up that states I have been moved. 2) When I am moved to a new table there are no blinds visible, no matter what position I am in, and I am still in the hand. Show me the blinds please. 3) Let me double rebuy during the RB period. When I am knocked out at the end of the RB period I can only RB 1 unit and then addon. 4) Allow me to change my seat position on each table instead having 1 preferred seat. 5) Sats should end when you can no longer achieve a higher payout. I have had to play an extra 10 minutes past registration ...

I had cashed out all but $31 and played 3 tourneys tonight and took 1st and 3rd for $800 profit. I am still waiting for a confirmation on my previous cashout from last week. Nothing new to report.

I think everyone is pretty clear on the fact that getting money on the sites is not a problem. Where we are at now is how do we get our winnings off of the sites and I have yet to read a post from anyone receiving a check from Merge (Carbon for me) post BF. My cash out is still showing pending and I have not received any emails or confirmation from Carbon for 3 days. I sent an email to support today but I am sure this is going to be a long process to even get the W/D confirmed let alone receive a check. Tedstretch, have you received any cash outs from the skin you are playing on' What form ...

I have requested a cashout for $750 and there is a $15 fee per check. It just show pending approval for over 24 hours and I have not received an email informing me of the transaction. I have not ever completed a cashout but assume they need some documentation from me. I will keep everyone posted on if or when I receive my funds and what the process is.

I won my first tournament on Carbon over the weekend and would like to know what method I should use for Cashing my original deposits out. I am only going to leave my profit on the site to play with. This thread is pretty unclear as to what process I should use. I originally used WU and then set up a UMW account and used it for my 2nd deposit.
