2012 Kentucky Derby talk
I grew up just outside of L-ville and have been betting the ponies since I was 13. I'm headed to L-ville tonight and will be at the Oaks on Friday. I usually try to find reasons to throw out the favorites and look for value in the Derby, but I like most of the favorites this year. Bodemeister ran away with the Ark Derby and ran the fastest final furlong of all others without ever being whipped (and with a lead of 8+ lengths). **Official NHL Playoffs Round 2 Conference Semis Thread***
I was first to jump on the Rads band wagon, but after watching game 2 and hearing he was out drinking until 4 AM the night before (morning of) a playoff game, I hope he sits the rest of the playoffs. They looked good in game 3 and I hope they stick with the current lineup. Kostitsyn and Rads are great offensive threats, but they don't fit in the Barry Trotts style of play.

This series is going to be an absolute beat down. The Preds are far superior this year and Radulov may be the best player in the NHL. I'm not a huge fan of his, after the fiasco of him leaving for Russia the first time, but he is scary good and will single handedly turn Nashville into a "scoring/offensive" team. Having Rinne in the goal is icing on the cake! Preds in 5.

This is a stretch.... I'm a UK grad in Nashville and can't wait for ESPN gameday Saturday morning. A group of alum here in Nashville created an "Occupy Memorial" FB page in an attempt to attract more UK fans than Vandy fans for the show. It's kind of funny how many Nashvillians and Vandy fans buy season tickets just so they can sell their tickets for the UK game (they're currently running +/-$200 for the worst seats, when season tickets are +/-$150). Plus it's the closest UK game for many fans in western Ky. Should be a sh*t show on Broadway after the game!
