For players with wife and kids
I would say that the OP should probably get a real job... You have made 40K in profit this year -- poker doesn't 401K match, no insurance, etc. Your kids are far more important than your poker career (if you can even call it that). You should get a job that allows you to spend time with them when they are home. You will look back in a few years and really regret the incredibly bad decisions you are making today.

I used to play with him in the mid stakes games when i played more frequently. He is a really nice guy at the tables, and a hell of a player obviously. Congrats on the success, knew you would get here and higher, and best of luck in the future sir. See ya on the WSOP soon.

Help in Final Stages of SNG's Please!!
Okay, so I am 4 tabling 6-max non turbo sit n go's and I am leaving sooooo much value on the table when it gets down to heads up. To be honest, it gets a bit fast lol! For you bad asses who can multi task better than a pentium processor, please help me out with a bit of a crash course. I am fine on the push/fold short stack play, but when i have the lead, i always blow it! 2nd place sucks 1) starting range (in position) heads up' 2) calling range OOP 3) any other help you can give would be great.

i say call. you probably have the best hand, but he can have something like QsJs, and then if you re-raise he is shoving. calling and re-evaluating on the turn (preferably a non spade) gives you the chance to bet him off his hand with 1 card to go. After you smooth call, he will probably just check to you, which gives you control. i know its not the typical aggro tard response, but I think its a good play.

I thought this post was a joke at first, but I was knocked out of a tourney and couldn't contain my anger and emailed pstars support some mean stuff. Needless to say, I went to bed 4 nights ago after the email I sent, and have been the BB every game I have started (80+). Very strange. Something is definetly going on.

your inability to rail the 109 r is not a valid reason for unbanning these sites. Its so fkd up that some people have access to these stats and other players dont. If they want to offer these stats at all, they should be offered to everyone and should be accessible through the front door of pokerstars.

I am not a super-active member of the community, although I read every day. I just wanted to thank PocketFives for all the help. Had my 2nd biggest score to date last night and honestly without this site it wouldn't have happened. Here are a few things that I think can help anyone at any level: 1) don't ever get mad about a bad beat. only get mad at yourself if you make a bad play, and only use the anger as motivation to remember the mistake so as not to do it again. 2) mental toughness is everything (obv maven is right). no matter how many times you get knocked down, bad beat, ...
