Regarding Change in $88 Hyper-Turbos to $74 Hyper-Turbos On PokerStars, effective tonight, the $88 hyper-turbos have changed to $74 hyper-turbos. I emailed PokerStars Support about it and this is the response that I received: Thank you for contacting us about the change to the 6-player Hyper-Turbo satellites. The buy-in/payout changes to these events were made at the request of our Game Security department due to the attractiveness of the previous format to a certain type of collusion. While most of these satellites ran normally, Game Security had caught enough people attempting to collude in these particular events that some changes ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Stars Down? Just checked SharkScope and they do not show the result for the hyper-turbo that I just won, so if you happened to win a SNG or tourney right as this went down, might want to make sure you get credit for the cash after all is fixed. I cannot log back in to check account balance. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Mac users - problems starting Stars? This is the first time this has ever happened to me, and I was online earlier in the day with the same version of the software. Mine has been sitting this way now for over 10 minutes without connecting and initializing the software. I have tried more than once and getting the same result. Will just go to bed and try again in the morning. But first time this has happened. Overall, until now, the beta Mac software has been great and very reliable. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Question About Hachem's Friends Okay, I was watching the post-tournament interview with Hachem at and could not help but notice his two buddies sitting with him. These two jokers are sitting with their arms all wrapped around one another and one of the dudes has his hand on the other guy's leg. They are sharing a beverage and then out of the blue in the middle of the interview the one on the far right gives the one in the middle a slow puckered kiss on the cheek. It was very strange. Anyone know their deal' Are they gay or just Australian' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): this has to be up there as one of worst beats ever I don't know that it was a wonderful call pre-flop to a 5x BB raise with , but maybe it was reasonable given the player's style and your understanding of such. Nevertheless, that was very brutal. Better luck next time. Posted in: Bad Beats |

White Star On Avatar In PokerStars? I was sitting at a play money table on PokerStars today and noticed that three seats had a small white star in the center on top of their avatar. Nobody at the table, including those with the star, knew the meaning. Anyone familiar with this and can explain' Thanks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): barf He had an over pair with a flush draw. He led out betting $2, representing 1/3 of his stack at a low-stakes table. You came over the top and it was only $4 for him to call allin. At best he puts you on trip 4s, but not a boat. And with trip 4s, any club wins the high end of the pot. He could have also put you on A2 trying to steal from the low end as is typical in H/L games. Frankly, I would have called the allin too. He was behind by more than he prolly assumed, but he was pot committed and had implied outs according to a logical read. My point here is that we all lose on occassion when we ... Posted in: Bad Beats |
