is 24 tables too much?
At the moment I'm 24 tabling the 2nl tables on stars and making 25 big blinds/100 hands over the past 8000 hands (which of course only took me like 2 days at this rate). I was doing this before I joined DeucesCracked and was pretty much just playing break even poker (playing 2nl-10nl), and now after watching some videos, I've quite easily filled some leaks in my game and playing much better. I guess what I'm asking is at what stakes will this start to effect my game/win rate' I mean, obviously at these stakes you can pretty much go on auto-pilot with a HUD and just play fit or fold ...

Canadian Pro's and Tax
I was just curious about those of you who are playing poker professionaly here in Canada, and what you do about paying taxes, buying a home, etc etc. I googled this topic and found a very current article written by The Globe and Mail. / After reading the article, it really didn't make things all that much clear. Do we have to pay taxes if this is our soul income' Would it be wise to work a limited hour part time job just so you can claim an income and make the government happy' What are the Canadian pro's doing'

wow, that helps alot. So i guess sustataining at 4bb/100 hands while playing 12 tables would be pretty decent.

VPIP/PFR in the blinds and on the button.
Trying to improve my game, and have been going through my poker tracker to find some leaks. I've mostly been playing 10nl 6max. One thing I've found is that my vpip in the sb is at a staggering 23/15 . That's nearly as high as the percentage I play on the button with is 25/22. Just wondering what the VPIP/PFR SHOULD be in the blinds' And should my button VPIP/PFR be a bit higher like 35/30'

10nl Winrate
Been Playing 10nl 6 max over the past 2 days. I've logged 11,000 hands playing about 12 tables at a time. I'm making 3.68bb/100 and $7.87/hour. I'm playing 17/13 with a 3.15AF. I've been reading other posts online and people are making like 17bb/100 and their graph is just shooting way up. I do feel like I've been sucked out on a bit more then general, but I don't know whether I should just chalk that up to variance. I understand that the more tables you play your bb/100 will go down but your $/hour should go up. Just wanting to know if this is a good win rate, or if ...

PT3 Hud
I was just wondering if there is a way to put the player's Auto-rated symbol (ie. calling station, eagle, money bag etc) on the hud. Back when I was using PT2 and poker ace hud i could see their symbol. Now I have a mac, and can't run poker ace, but can't find anywhere in pt3's hud to find this stat. Any help'

practice prober bankroll managment. Variance happens, but if you have the bankroll to endure it, you'll be fine in the long rung.

multi-tabling micro's
I've been reading some old posts on 24 tabling. Back in 2006 they were saying "Can you believe this guy who plays 24 tables at the same time' How can he profitable at that''" Well of course multitabling is alot more common, but I was wondering if its -ev by multitabling. I understand that bb/100 will go down, but hourly rate should go up if you play abc poker. Of course this will only work well at the micro limits. Also, what limits do you think multitabling this many tables will become unprofitable'

Re:micro 45 man's
are you saying I won't find better spots than this' Later in the tournament when stacks are shorter, and it's basically push fold. I find myself making correct decision's late in a tournament. I just want to know if I should avoid getting my chips in with these hands early on.

micro 45 man's
Just wondering if it's +EV to be calling all in shoves pf with hands like AK and JJ-QQ in these micro tournies. With a bunch of unknowns, I know there is a lot of bad play in these tournaments. I make a standard pf raise with AK, 1010, JJ, or QQ and I get re-shoved. Now with these being turbo's with a bunch of donkey's should I be calling here to try and double my stack early, or should I save my chips, and find a better spot'

Re:From Zero to Hero
well, i'de just like to see the volume that a lot of these guys put in at the lower stakes. I've got a family and unfortunately can't put in as much volume as I would like. I'de also be interested in seeing someone in my shoes who has a family, and has built their rolls up from damn near nothing.

i didn't say it would be easy, i would just like to see the length of time it took different players to play the stakes they are at currently.

From Zero to Hero
When surfing the forums, I tend to check out people's profiles, and recent scores. It would be extremely encouraging to see some people who have progressed from playing the ultra micro mtt's like myself, to playing the larger sunday buy in tournaments and such on a regular basis. I thought it would just be enlightening to see the time line in which they did it in, and how much they had to grind to get to where they are today. Does anyone know of any players i could look up on official poker rankings to see how they made their progression'

should i be calling here?
This is the end of a micro stakes 45 man turbo. Now I know if donetta pushes, I should probably be calling since I'll be getting 2-1, but with this limp I wasn't sure if I should be calling and pushing if I hit any part of the flop. Or do I just consider this min raise as an all in raise on his part, and just push him all-in' Thanks for the feedback. my poker report card...
apparently according to poker table ratings, my rating is and F at the 0.01/0.02 9 max nl tables. However according to poker tracker i'm making 18BB/100 at these limits. Should I bet taking PTR's advice and be less aggressive post flop at these limits, or just go with what I've been doing' PTR POKER REPORT CARD PREPARED FOR: RDUBB12 This report card is based on 8,137 hands tracked at $0.01/$0.02 NL HOLD'EM (9 max) on PokerStars by SUBJECT GRADE PRE-FLOP TIGHTNESS: You are 12% looser than optimal. Re:Bankroll building strategy
I currently am in the same situation as you. Few years ago, I had a lot of success, and was up there playing 1/2 8 tabling. Then of course due to poor bankroll management, I lost it all. Now, I'm back at square one, without a lot of income to spend on poker. I've recently just deposited 50 bucks, and am 20 tabling the 9 max 0.01/0.02 cent on stars. I buy in for 2$ on each table. Let me tell you, it's extremely difficult to play poker for me, when over 2.5 hours I've only shown 10 dollars profit. But it's I feel it's important to tell yourself, " hey, if I was ...

Has Rush kicked your butt?
No, I don't have a big roll, and no I'm not the best player out there, but I do think I can beat the "fish". But I got my ass handed to me in Rush. ALOT of bad beats! But I dunno...4 tabling the 10nl, and i was down 50 bucks in like an hour. I tried being super tight, and I also tried playing a bit more lag than usual....but nothing seemed to work. Anyone in the same boat'

is there a way to change your rakeback affiliate?
A few years ago I made an idiot move. Met a guy at a casino who had just started his own affiliate program. It was nationally traded, yadayadayada, he would give a a better rate, yadayadayada....it was good for a while, and then he just stopped sending me my rake back. So obviously I've been avoiding playing on Full Tilt. So is there a way to just change affiliates. I've heard of people emailing FT support to ask to make a new account for rakeback and they were denied. But technically Full Tilt would not be losing anything. If I were to play, they would still be paying out the rake ...

is this typical for winning players?
shot 2009-10-15 at 4.06.32 PM.pngI've been recently reading about non-showdowns winnings, and how much difficulty people have with keeping it above $0. What would be a good winning players graph look like. Like right now, for every 60 dollars I win WITH a SHOWDOWN, I'm losing about 10 dollars WITHOUT a showdown' So that's like a 6:1 ratio. Would this be considered acceptable for a winning player'

How to play in LAG 1/2 nl live games?
I've just started going to a new 1/2 nl cash game in my home town, and some nights the action can just be crazy. Like $15-20 open pre-flop raises, with like 4-5 callers. With such big pre-flop pots, and then consequently big flop bets, how do you play these games. What kind of hands should you be reraising pre-flop against these LAG players' A10+, 77+' I've been doing well by just going along with the action, and playing more loose to get some of that action, but i was just wondering about some strategies to play in these sorts of games.

Re:advantages of a min buy in at ring game?
well this is what I was assuming. These games are very weak. Either old folks who come to the casino to gamble, make a score at the bj table or otherwise, and decide to try their luck at poker. Or the crazy people who have just too much money and play the 1-2 table because that's all that's available in my city at the moment. Primarily I don't wanna go broke. I know I need a good run of cards. and i'm not leaving if i'm up to 300. If i have a decent stack in front of me, then i can play normally, but i need that buffer so i can hang around for a while and actually make ...

advantages of a min buy in at ring game?
i was sitting at a 1-2 nl game the other day at the casino, and one guy bought in for the min of $40. In the next 2-3 hours he was up to $800 with that same buy in. Complete luck' Or do you think that buying in cheap and being able to get your money in against the donkey's at these weak tables without taking much risk is a good idea' I'm going tonight and only wanna spend around 250, so i was thinking 3 buy-ins of $80 would be good. Allowing me to make one standard pf raise and getting it all in if I hit. If I don't hit, I can lay it down, and push pf on the next decent hand I ...

Re:How many other people are just like me?
Yea i hear you....just that when you take the 8 buyin hits you think of how fast it took to lose all that...and can't imagine winning it all back in just the same amount of time. Which is why we all chase our losses I guess. But yes, playing within your bankroll feels way better. I usually do play within bankroll....my biggest problem usually comes with trying different games and never sticking to my typical 6 max tables

How many other people are just like me?
My gf is the one that hears most of this kinda of banter from me, and I know she gets annoyed by it. But she's awesome and she puts up with me. I'll admit, I've been struggling for the past year or so...gone broke a few more times than i'de like, and don't have alot of disposable income to fork into poker. But when I do I'll say "Okay, this time I'm only gunna play sng's. In fact perhaps I'll even contact ftp and get them to block me from cash games. I do that successfully for like a week until i hit a bad streak, and then i change my plan all ...
