Re:180 man question
The $12 turbos are a completely different ball game to the $4/$20s. Different strategy needed. Stars used to have the $10 180s with the same blind levels as the 4 40s and 22s but they dropped them so now its a case of moving from 4 40s up to 22s. If you go 4 40s then 12s then you are changing to a whole different game with higher variance and a whole different strategy needed.

Firstly, if you register for a tournament, click on the "tournament info" tab and you will see all the breaks on offer. Stars cant come along willy nilly and stop the tournament just for you - it has to be agreed by everybody - you have the facility to be aware of this before you register. As for the angle shooter - if he didnt type "agree" to talking about any deal then he's not an angle shooter.

He's still singing let it be! Thats longer than any rendition Paul McCartney ever gave! I would hazard a guess that when Vance is playing on his computer, he sits in a rocking chair and rocks back and forth constantly whilst singing Beatles classics back to back - starting off slowly with Blackbird when the blinds are 10/20 then as he goes heads up, hes fully into helter skelter, rocking back and forth on that chair.

Wow, that was a great hand to watch and it was great to see Daniel acting with class when he went to console the guy he knocked out when the flush hit. Hope he takes this down. Winning the $100,000 winner take all one day...few days later he sits at the final table at the EPT in Copenhagen - what a player he is turning out to be.

My question to you Bradley is if it happened to you on one site and you innocent but it took 90 days to prove it wouldnt you just go to a different site in the mean time and play the same amount of games you normally play Where would the bankroll come from if FTP or Stars had frozen half of it' What about the lucrative rakeback deal you signed up with FTP for' What about the fact that FTP & Stars are far more liquid than other sites' I guess the answer to that one though is to only leave small amounts of money on each site - enough for day to day playing, rather than huge amounts, so if ...

Its irrelevant wether he challenged it or not, Im just asking that if FTP or Pokerstars freeze your funds and stop you playing for 90 days and then admit they were mistaken, do they compensate you for loss of earnings.

What happens if the site freezes your funds and gets it wrong?
Reading with interest the recent case of the full tilt player who had his funds frozen for 90 days has got me thinking about the implications for those who make their living out of the game. Say you go pro, give up your job etc then decide to multi table FT & Stars all day long at $1/$2 and you start earning $400 a week at both sites month after month. Then one morning, you log in to FT or Pokerstars and you find you cant log in. You email them and they email you back saying your funds have been frozen for 90 days and you cant play until they've sorted things out. What happens if it ...

Sounds to me like you've lost some of the motivation that you had when you first got into poker. Motivation can be a problem for some players, Im guessing it’s a bigger problem for those of you who are succesful - you've won most things, you’ve earnt a lot of money from the game, you’ve bought a lot of the things you’ve always wanted to buy - it then becomes a bit of a chore to hit the tables and sit there for hours and hours clicking your mouse button. My theory is that certain players are much more motivated to play than others based on variables like the level of success they have had ...

I think you can get more information by raising it first. If you just limp, then the range that raises behind you is much wider than the range of the player who reraises you (imo). As for what to do next when you are reraised to say, $15, its read dependant I guess.

I've run the figures a few times to see how many I would need to play. I worked out I would need to 12 table for around 14 hours per day playing the $11 on stars. 12 tables x 14 hours = 168 sit n gos 168 x $11 = $1848 total buy in So if your ROI is pretty good and around the 10% mark, thats $184 per day. 168 sngs per day is a serious head f**k. Did I start it' No. I gave up when i worked the figures out :) Good luck if you try it though.

I think what needs to happen through all of this is the poker community needs to work together with the poker sites and all the organisers of the large events (WPT etc) to come up with some sort of system whereby certain rule breaks result in specific punishments. If we look at football as an example (or soccer as some like to call it!) then we can see a system whereby if a player acts violently on the football field or cheats, then he is banned for a number of games, or has been the case, banned from playing in any competitive matches for a period of time. I'm quite happy to limp here and hope that BB checks and we get to see a flop. If I see a queen or a flush draw, Im shoving the flop and crossing my fingers. I do like to limp when four handed with a huge hand when there is a short - medium stack because they just love to shove - this is why I think shoving is a risky play with that utg limper. I have no idea of how hes played previously though which would make a difference. I think generally, its best to be first in when your shoving as the short stack. Whilst its not great fun to spew chips by calling all the time, in this spot I think ...

Zpaceman, Ive watched all your vids on cardrunners and I just cannot believe you are the kinda guy who gets stressed at the poker table, you sound like calmness personified :) Ive been doing a similar thing lately, I had a run in tournies and also SNGs where I think I typed something nasty in the chat box everytime I lost a hand or was knocked out (different buy ins, I know, but it still matters to us micro stakes players). I think poker stress breeds even more poker stress and if you suffer too many nasty beats in a row, its even worse. I find that if you feel your whole game is "stressed" ...

Mansion - finding out about prize pools
