golf walk or ride?
I don't take any practice swings unless I'm within 65 yards of the green or putting. Average 250-270 off the tee, and always shoot 80-85 a round, so if I take one practice swing every time, I'll break 80 and not suck horribly anymore'

Reception Drinks...
What's trashy about kegs when you have a bartender and they pour in glasses' Especially if you're pouring good beer like Boont, Sam, Stella, Stone, Lagunitas etc. Way more classy and economical in a glass than a bottle. Don't serve hennessey/

Credit card co's slashing credit limits?
If it is for work travel then this... I overnight 60% of the year, continue to keep a balance and don't pay down to zero, but don't flirt with the limit. I know I could always pay it off because all my travel is expensable but at the same time they build scores and limits on use and payments. and to sax, I don't know anyone who has a personal RLOC tied to WSJP+1 without a floor well above or a business acct. tied to it. Where can you get this'

How many times???
I caught it once, they said I fell into a group of ladies, still don't belive it... Oh wait the other time my buddy jokingly put his hand on the tips on the table, apparentley you get 86'd for that. Oh wait the wikiwakiwoo time, drinks in davis that had twriley straws with 2 shots of 151 in them and a mess in the cup, 2 of those and 2 pitchers of hurricanes I walked home 3 miles with a scrape on my face from hitting the sidewalk outside the bar, I might of been kicked out.....

Casual dinner for 15...what would you serve??
Just hanging out with aps and bev provided I would go with something like a Fajita bar or Bar. Roast and mix up your own salsa to add your own flavor. Should be a blast! Cheers!

another golf thread
I shoot 80-89, can't break 80 because I don't work on my short game, only go to the range to practice and drink between 9 and 18 beers while playing. I've been playing many years; if you can reverse my work and play ethic you should be fine given I play better than 80% of people with my style :) And I really want a 1.4 or below so I can play qualifiers for the U.S. Open without getting the boot, so I'm going for the same thing...

CHECKS...... really? pokerstars? come on...
No life tilt, have a full time professional job. Was merely stating that I had the same situation happen. It's good for as many people as possible to voice any issues like this when they come up, esp. in an unregulated industry.

This happened to me too, deposited one on Monday, it bounced yesterday. Then deposited another yesterday before the first one bounced, and it has bounced today. Stars immediately refunded my account, hopefully the new one won't bounce that I cashed out yesterday...

Re:whats a good wine if you dont drink wine?
If someone says they like reds over whites from what they've tasted, I don't think having them start out with a wine where that varietal can be fermented dry per se a classified Trockenbeerenauslese (min 39 brix at harvest) would be extremely acidic but that was the intention of the wine maker, but at the same time it can be made with a lot of residual sugar because of the initial amount of sugar allows for desired alcohol level without complete fermentation, to where it is one of the sweetest wines you'll ever taste. What I'm getting at is with your typical reds you have ...

Re:whats a good wine if you dont drink wine?
Ugh, don't listen to the reisling comments if you don't like fruity or sweet. There are several different classes of reisling based on sugar content, unless you are familiar with the classifications and know what you are getting, stay away. If you like red, depending on where you live and what's available to you, start on the more subtle side with pinot noir. Anything from from the central coast of CA, Carneros region of Napa or Russian River are good. If you like a little more spicy/gripping wine go with Zinfandel from Lodi, CA or Syrah/Shiraz from CA but stay away from Central ...

Re:Wine Country / Sonoma Valley
Lococo's Cucina Rustica is on the other side of Hwy 101 from Russian River Brew and 3rd St. Ale Works, but has great Italian food that is a must. There is a wine broker next to it that does tastings and has an awesome cellar, including any cult wine for purchase that you could want, and next to that is a great restaurant/whiskey bar (flights for $15) if you're into that too. If you are staying at Hotel La Rose, Hyatt, or Courtyard, those are all within walking distance to these places. As far as wineries go, if you don't want to drive you'll have to go the limo/shuttle bus ...

Re:How much has the value of your house gone up or down since you bought it
I think Willy is soo spot on its scary. If it is your business, you make the lending decision. If banks weren't forced to openly accept crazy lending philosphies (which some were freddie mac and fannie mae loans aka government backed) we don't have a mortgage meltdown and we don't have a housing bubble. If incomes were in line with housing prices, we don't have a bubble. Money was easy, and it was cheap, and the lending standards were so lax. I found a promotional deck of cards from a company that folded early. They were doing 560 credit, stated income, with no asset ...
