How far is your commute?
6-8 minutes. i can't imagine wasting an hour of my life everyday sitting in a car driving to and from work. and with gas at $4/gal. I would sure hate to be spending all that money commuting.

Buying a new house
haven't read the other responses, so sorry if this is a repeat. I would buy it unfinished because a lower sales price would probably be better for your taxes. later you can finish it and either avoid paying taxes on the finished basement(if you do it yourself), or if you have to file a work permit for the basement finish most areas will give you home improvement exemptions and your taxes won't reflect the basement finish for a few years down the road.

When you were in high school, did you actually shower naked in the lockerroom?
when I was in high school I was a 98lb wrestler my freshman year. my two coaches were big black guys both well over 200lbs. One day i saw them in the shower and learned that the "myth of the well hung black man" was no myth. I don't think any of the guys on the team (mostly white guys) wanted to get in the shower when those two were around, so most of us just showered at home. No way we wanted to get naked and look like shriveled raisons next to their forearm size slabs of meat.

Wierd Christmas Gift Request from my Son
This is what I was gonna say. There are thousands of elderly people at nursing homes who are alone and have no loved ones left. Take him there on Christmas day and let him visit with some of them. He will probably love it and you will brighten someones day.

The thing I find most shocking is that I've been a Cardinal fan forever, watched them win 3 World Series Rings, enjoyed watching Albert turn into one of the greatest hitters the game has ever seen, and yet upon hearing the news I was completely over the sadness and depression of it all in about 3.5 seconds. Bring on 2012, and we'll find another way to defy the odds and go deep.

Rock and Roll HOF 2012.
For the record I don't want Rush to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It would be an insult to their accomplishments and talents to be listed with some of the other crap bands in that place. And as far as GnR, so now we are inducting bands that had 1 monumental record, 1 decent record and 15 years of utter turmoil'

Well its our money if ticket prices go up every year over the next decade(above and beyond inflation) to cover this salary. Its important to us if we can't sign other players over the next decade because we are tapped out financially. So I completely disagree with this statement.

As a Cards fan, I'm not shedding any tears. Obv. loved Pujols, but I didn't want our team to get stuck in an absurd 10 year contract for that kind of money. It was a nice run while it lasted. I still think we have an awesome team and will have a very good chance to go deep again next year. This will free up a ton of money for us to fill in some other holes and now can move Berkman to first for the next two years.

Blago gets 14 years...
Rod always just seemed like a pawn in the game. He never seemed like a leader to me. To me this sentence seemed a little harsh for the crime. I didn't vote for him and never really liked him, but 14 years is a long time with two little kids at home. He's definately gonna regret his actions.

I remember the first album (yes in vinyl form) was Kiss 'Dressed to Kill", but that was a gift. I think the first one I ever purchased with my own money was Kiss "Alive 2".
