Re(1): Poker after dark tonight --spoilers inside lol why you hate her' granted she is realllly overrated (if shes considered rated). Sometimes I wonder how players like her ever have any money to play these tournies' That is, assuming she is using her own money Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Poker and staying in shape The way I look at it is if you are a fulltime poker player then you have a very flexible schedule. You can usually sleep how much u want and watch TV, relax, etc a lot. So although poker is your job, it's a very loose term. I try to treat working out as a job in a way. It's something that I don't always want to do, it can be hard at times, but it pays off in the end. Kinda like most peoples regular jobs, you just get through it. I would reccomend putting together a schedule when you do it, ideally with someone else to keep each other accountable. Me and my roommate work out about 4 or 5 days ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Question to other online pros This situation has come up for me a couple times in the last couple of months so I was curious: What do you do when people ask your occupation when you are at the bank pertaining to opening up investments, mutual funds, etc. I am never sure if you can bite the bullet and say 'professional poker player' or 'professional gambler' or just make up something like 'self-employed with real estate work' or some BS. Anyway, hope to hear what other young pros do when they run into this. I know my bank is very curious about a 21 year old with a six figure net worth. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): How annoying is Hellmuth Winning 10 bracelets, mainly before the poker boom in smaller fields, does not make him a great poker player. Yes he might get a lot of attention as a "TV player" but hes not a great pure poker player. Tourney donk yes, but hes definitely not as fundamentally sound as a lot of top players. Re(1): How annoying is Hellmuth I really don't know why everyone thinks he is SO great. yeah he has won 10 bracelets (while playing the most WSOP events the last 20 years), but has a terrible track record in side games. Anytime I've seen him play deep stack poker he definitely isn't as good as players like Ivey, Brunson, and Negreanu. Plus I wanna vomit everytime he makes his famous block bets of like 10% of the pot when he isn't strong. So transparent. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): I wish I was Johnny Chan You'll see tons of "experts" at 1-2 NL live games. The worst are the people trying to teach everyone else how to play as great as them or copping out by saying they don't care cuz it's "just 1-2 and they're playing for fun tonight" after they get beat by a fellow fishy. Re(4): best poker show Its pretty much clear to everyone that HSP is the best show. I think poker after dark is number 2 now. I really enjoy watching shows where you see more then just all ins (ala WSOP) and get to hear the players talk casually to each other instead of hearing, "Hes coming over the top Vince!!!" 15x a show (WPT) or other corny one liners. Plus it definitely puts good combinations of players together to stir stuff up. Kinda like how MTV does casting on the real world with people that are gonna create crazy drama. Re(1): Josh Arieh I personally think Arieh and David Williams both are completely overrated. They are just 'name' players because they are friends with good players and were on TV during the big poker boom. Don't expect to hear much from those egotistical guys. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Hand advice- $162 MTT on PStars Ok, I had an argument with a good friend of mine about my final hand. This hand is from the $162 MTT on Tuesday night with 30 players left. I am 30th in chips and have about 10 BBs. The button who is also the chip leader at my table but been playing somewhat poorly, doubles on the button from 1200 to 2400, I shoved for a little under 12k with A4cc from the small blind. He calls, getting 16-9 odds, with A5os. He spikes a 5 and i go home. I feel I played the hand find considering my stack size and the fact that he is raising with such a wide range. The big stack was also calling very loose ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Question to Higher Limit players on Pokerstars regarding Legislation I've read in a few players blogs that they cashed their money out already in precaution to this whole situation. For those of you with +$50k online at the moment, are you guys planning on taking most of it out and if so, how much do you plan on leaving online' Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |
