I was in a similar spot as limew1re in my first live cash. was big blind for 300 with about 125 behind small blind raises and i call the rest of my chips, my 2/8 beats A/K with a 2 on the flop lol. Went on to take 2nd!

Good fold, I'd do the same in this situation. With a 12 dollar raise a caller could easily have 7/8(likely suited but never know), Q/K, 9/9, also 10/10 and J/J aren't as likely cause of the case card would have hit but we've all seen it several times! The real problem here is the QQ player for me, with a raise to $12 with $100 behind he/she should have re-raised or even shoved, maybe no one calls the shove/raise and they pick up 29 dollars from blinds,straddle,raiser and caller. Nothing wrong with that play IMO, much better than the way it went for them!

I personally think its a good call, The fact he doesn't raise pre-flop with all limp highly doubts a set if hes just an average cash player. Since he said he didnt flop a straight the hand I'd most worry about is 2-4 and turned the straight, but why bet the flop with 4 high and only a 10 dollar pot with a gutshot! plus call a raise, he could have anything like 8/3 for a worse 2 pair, maybe a 7 for an openender thinking maybe he could get you off your hand with the all in after the turn with those straights out there and if you call he's sure hes got outs! Something with a 7 would ...
