Re:Fantasy Basketball Question?? Yea I'm starting to realize that. My other leagues are fine though, no problems what so ever and they all agree this is "team stacking" bullshit Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Fantasy Basketball Question?? It's not that no one checked it... I and a few others check it on a daily basis but their was no email or alert mentioned of a pending trade in those 2 days. Not one person in the league got any mention of it. The 4-5 team sends out a trade like this with the 1-8 almost everyday for about the past week. Posted in: Off Topic |

Fantasy Basketball Question?? In my league there is a 2 day waiting period for trades but early this morning a trade went through involving a 1-8 team who is pretty much giving up and a 4-5 team. 1-8 gave Chris Paul and Gerald Wallace to the 4-5 4-5 gave E. Ilyasova, C. Billups, and R. Felton to 1-8 No one in my league said they got an email regarding this trade which obviously would have been vetoed. The 4-5 team is arguing that it's not his fault the 1-8 team is giving up and that he didn't break any rules (keep in mind the 2 teams involved are friends) Is our league manager justified in manually putting the ... Correct plays here? Standard hand, Advice appreciated This is a friends hand on a $10 buy-in tourny on pokerstars the other day that I said I would post for him. He usually does really well mainly in SNG's but has had some light MTT success. Blinds at $175 - $350 no ante paying top 350 or so and about 800 left Hero = about $13,000 Villan = about $15,000 Villan raises 3x bb from hijack positon Hero calls from the button with KTs spades, SB/BB both fold. Flop comes 3s 7s Qh, villan leads out with a bet of $2000 into a pot of $2725, Hero calls. Turn brings the Jc, Villan checks and Hero leads out for $3500 into a pot of $6725, Villan raises ... Re:DID I OVERPLAY AQ? Maybe try just smooth calling with the intention of shoving on ANY flop with the exception of something like trips flopping. If he has any kind of pair he's calling and your flipping for all the money, even if he was to call your shove you still have 10 outs on this flop to take down the hand Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:JJ in the 3+r I.M.O your initial mistake here was not raising it pre-flop (maybe 4,000-4,500) because now you've put yourself in a guessing game, although JJ is probably the best hand here and I think you at least have to call if not pop it up. What kind of read do you have on this player' Has he been super aggressive or very tight' Would he raise preflop from early-middle position with Ax suited...KQ-KT..JTs' So what happened in the hand' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:FOLD AK ? Never fold AK in this spot, think of his range of hands in which he would push here and your a clear favorite against all but AA/KK. QQ and lower and it's a coin-flip leaving you with still plenty of chips should you lose the hand. Than again i'm no expert but i'd never fold there Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:PLO8/b low stakes cash game... I play this hand well? Yea your not coming off as a dick, I asked for the hand to be judged. The reason I call after putting him on AA, A2, or AA2 is because if the right flop comes out for me I could win a decent pot and if not it's an easy fold. On the flop I hit 2 pair and after he leads out w/ a pot sized bet and Jorava folds even though i'm fairly certain I have the best hand I just call since I re-raising isn't getting rid of A2/AA/A234 and I want to keep the pot size small in case the turn is ugly. 10 hits on the turn and his check let me know that I for sure have the best of it maybe I should ... Need Advice On Building My BR First off some info about my game to help. I do fairly well in live play but do to school and work I just haven't had the time to visit any of the casino's or play in some of the local late night games. I feel like my strongest game is PLO8 (also limit) and I also seem to do very well in HORSE. My Hold'em game is decent but I know I have a lot of work to do on it both in Limit and NL. I'm pretty strapped for cash at the moment and only have a $150 BR on Full Tilt. Any suggestions/advice on what I should be playing/learning' Mtt's or SnG's' I'm open to anything ... Live Cash game $1/$2 This hand occurred last night during a $40 buy in $1/$2 cash game at the bike casino and I'd like to know if I should've done anything different. I'm up to about $80 from the initial $40 and am currently in the small blind, the game is about 7 handed and with 2 limpers the button raises and make it $7 to go. I call with 33 as does the BB, both limpers fold. The flop comes out 2d 3s 5s and instead of slow playing I decide to lead out hoping one of my opponents have an over pair. I make it $10 to go in a pot about $25. The BB announces raise and makes it $25 total, the button ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Best way to learn PLO? When I first discovered PLO I feel in love with the game, especially hi/lo. The reason is that there just aren't very many people who are good at the game, too many hold'em players who don't seem to understand starting hand values for either game. I mostly grind it out a lot at my local casino and do well enough but since this is about online I would suggest some 2$ - 5$ sng's a cheap and good way to get the your fundamentals down and gain some experience at game without much risk. And Remember AAxx in Omaha aint much unless you hit.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:ESPN's Coverage of the WSOP 08 Yea they did pick which events where to be filmed ahead of time, but when a great final table emerges from an event that was not selected I think they should start filming it. When Daniel Negreanu is going for his 4th bracelet you know thats gonna be a good table. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

ESPN's Coverage of the WSOP 08 What's up everyone' I'm a huge fan of poker television, mainly the WSOP shown on ESPN, and after hearing all about the "Year of the Pro" and all the phenomenal final tables I am somewhat disappointed with this years coverage. Instead of seeing one of the greatest final tables ever where Matusow wins his 3rd bracelet and than 2 events later Negreanu winning his 4th, we get the lackluster Nenad Medic and Grant Hinkle (granted we did get to see Lindren's first which was great)!! I understand that a majority of the poker community is all about NL Hold'em right now and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
