Feds Call Full Tilt Poker A Massive Ponzi Scheme My problem with Annie was not that she was just a paid ambassador of UB, but that it came out that she went to Russ and asked for a loan so she could buy her dream house. Russ helped her out and when the SH*T hit the fan, she apparently told him she wasn't going to pay back that loan. Apparently she felt that if the money she borrows was ill-gotten or somehow not on the up an up, then she wasn't really obligated to pay it back. I'm not sure if she ever did pay back the loan, but this type of "Ethics" really speaks volume. I mean why did she stay with UB/AP as long as she did' I think this ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt gaming license suspended I'm wondering since it is the responsibility of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to protect potential players, and since they have seen that ftp has not yet paid out US players, if they didn't go to ftp and ask for records to show they have the money to cover all the player's in Europe' If ftp didn't want or couldn't show at the time of the request the information the Alderney Gambling Control Commission wanted, they would have had to suspend the license at that time to protect from future potential damages. Conversely they may want to have FTP show they have the money for both US ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt gaming license suspended So no hearing until July 26, 2011, so this cannot even be resolved until then. Of course ftp could apply for a gaming license elsewhere, I suppose. Either way it really makes ya wonder what type of shenanigans have been going on there to have the AGCC do this. If they don't take down stars, then it is obvious there is more shady stuff going on behind the curtain with ftp. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized I'm reading the "sky is falling" posts over on 2+2 and i would like to post about the main concern, people's money. - Poker sites place this money in a trust fund and while they can collect interest on it, it is not part of their assets. - US government is trying to go after all the assets they can legally get a hold of, this would be domains, money in US accounts, ect - Money that is held in banks outside the US would have to have their government order them to release those funds to the US ( I don't see this happening because no laws were broken in the bank's country) - As for US players ... Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized By the way for those saying you are listed as US account but are playing from elsewhere, it is a toss up. Supposedly they are stopping people who are connecting to PS and FT from US IPs. It is very similar that when i try to go watch a vid clip from CBS I can't do it cause my IP address is from Canada and they only allow US Ips to see it. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized I'm in Canada and couldn't get into FT due to the update not working. Went to the .uk site, downloaded the software and I'm in no problems. That being said, tried to withdraw and get a notice giving FT's position on this whole issue and was NOT allowed to withdraw. Currently I'm not concerned about my funds in Full Tilt as i'm from Canada. I think someone could make a mint setting up a server in Canada for US players to route through to get to FTP, tho probably highly illegal. Confirmed that guarantees have dropped A LOT and I've only seen ONE person from the US on. Good luck all. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized Here is my thoughts on how i think this will all go down. When the bill was passed not allowing US companies to take or give money from gambling sites, PS, FT and others went out to find other places (off shore) to get around the new law. The one that was run by Daniel Tzvetkoff which started this whole thing off is just one of many off shore sites that took and gave money from and to players. In Canada I use CCBill and it is a perfectly legitimate site. What Mr. Tzvetkoff did was to create hundreds of false companies to hide the money, where it came from and where it was going, and if one ... Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized FTP says connection is not able to connect when I try to click on withdraw. I"m assuming they have stopped ALL withdraws because it would be a huge massive run. Tom Dwan seems to feel that FTP/Stars will pay out all people eventually but it might take a couple months (See his twitter posts). I think FTP at least will hold off to come up with what they are going to do and will continue to prevent people from withdrawing until someone can go through to see how much liquidity they have v how much people are looking to withdraw. Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized For those in the US, I think it is a matter of time until you can't get to the websites and possibly even the client itself as it takes time for the re-directing to propagate. Here in Canada I can get to FT and PS but not AP, which is weird as Canada does not have the same laws as the US. UNLESS the sites are being hosted on US servers perhaps' Posted in: Poker Sites |

Full Tilt and Pokerstars Domains Seized The main complaint is that these sites circumvented the law keeping credit card companies from handling transactions for these sites. They would set up 'mock' businesses to transfer money between the player and the site. This actually makes sense to me because when I finally cashed out of UB and AP I got manual checks from two separate banks and on neither check did it say AP or UB, it had some business on it that I didn't recognize. Now being in Canada I really didn't care, but it seems that the DoJ may have a case here. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Hand Help from Ring Game I've been playing .50 - $1 for a while now and have a decent read on villain. I have Ad Kd one off button and one person raises to $3 I bump it to $9, Villain on the button calls and original raiser calls. His range has been VERY wide and ATC especially suited. Flop: 8s 5d 7d Action checks around to me and I bet $15 and Villain insta bets $54 My read on him is that he has been bullying the table by overbetting pots when he has draws or a piece of the board to keep people from drawing. He doesn't value bet everything is either a pot bet, overbet or shove. I still have $70 behind so I'm ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Poker etiquette As a former dealer, each casino / cardroom has different rules of course. For the most part, we would have all hands exposed at the showdown for the simple reason was that "cards speak". I can't tell you how many times we'd have a beginner at the table and they would win the pot because they misread their hand, but because the cards are exposed at the end, it was the dealer's responsibility to call the correct and winning hand. People would freak cause the newb would say "pair" when they hit a straight in Omaha and would get the pot because I had to make the correct call. The reason our ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

FOOLISHGOLF, CWTREFEREE and AMANDAW11 are confirmed cheaters/colluders on UB As far as I know there isn't any poker site that allows the having of multiple account on the same site. FOOLISHGOLF, CWTREFEREE and AMANDAW11 are confirmed cheaters/colluders on UB I don't think it is any one of our business as to "how much" was confiscated. In the end it really doesn't matter to anyone but FG. I do think that if FG is going to come on here and make a post about how he is a really nice guy and that none of us know the "whole story" then that makes it our business. Forgive me if I took his post the wrong way but it sounded like he was trying to justify his actions by saying there is "another story" out there, but failed to tell us what exactly what it was. It would have been one thing if he simply said he was caught, sorry, his money confiscated and he ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

FOOLISHGOLF, CWTREFEREE and AMANDAW11 are confirmed cheaters/colluders on UB I never said I played poker professionally. It is a luxury, a way to spend some time having fun with entertainment. Expendable income. I'm not worried about win/loss record as it is all just for fun. It is a shame that when I was making more of a serious play at poker some 8 years ago, we don't have those results because I did far better then when I could invest some serious time into it. Neither Gank or I ever resulted to cheating tho, which is more to the point. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I am amandaw111. This is my story. I'm in agreement with most here. I do not mind if people back others. If someone staked me money to be able to play serious poker where I could not have to work and not play for funsies, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. I also agree that with such agreements, it is no one's business but the two who are in the agreement. That being said, for me, I would not try to get into the same tournies as my staker for ethical reasons unless it was some major tourney where the chances of me meeting him/her is slim, however I would also have an agreement that if we were to meet at the same table, I'm going ... I am amandaw111. This is my story. You were caught with Multiple Accounts. That is cheating having more than one per site. You admitted to collusion once but let me ask you this. After being found out that you had a situation with an underage player, lost 35k cause of it, had multiple accounts, been accused of stealing money from folks, been accused of stealing accounts... WHY should anyone believe you when you say you only colluded ONCE' You have a credibility issue. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I am amandaw111. This is my story. Aw come on, lets call a spade a spade. His ORIGINAL post was him complaining about the fact he lost 35k to UB. It was only after the poker community found that there were some shady things happening here dealing with multi-accounting and underage play did Amandaw111 DIVERT the discussion to collusion and start outing all these other people. As I said earlier I feel the ONLY reason he came out to admit cheating was because the poker community was already on to him and that in order to help deflect some of the heat he was feeling, he came out and basically said, "yes i did it but so did all ... I am amandaw111. This is my story. You are right I tried to say "magnanimous" and the spell checker changed it. I'm glad they took it from the 35k. They should take the other money from the confiscated funds of CTW and FG as well. I'm glad Cheryl got cash. :) I'm so very happy for you and others who are getting credited .. I probably lost some money to them in satellites but I won't pursue it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I am amandaw111. This is my story. Normally if FG was being investigated, they would have frozen all transfers and withdraws. I highly doubt he got all his money off. Cheryl did you get your money in cash or TD's' I'm curious because if you got them in TDs it means that most likely UB had to pay it out of their own pocket, if it was cash, they probably gave you the cash from the other player. If they are only giving TDs to everyone, that sux cause you would have normally gotten cash and they will get 3% for changing it to cash. :( Posted in: Poker Discussion |
