How many games before you could score in a pro sport?
Having played professional baseball in the minor leagues, you'd probably be surprised by this response. While hitting a baseball is one of the toughest things to do in sports, it isn't at all like it is impossible. I guarentee that anyone with even a little bit of athletic ability would have at least a chance to put the ball in play and get a hit. Even the worst pitchers hit around .100 Don't get me wrong, I don't downgrade the difficulty at all of how hard it is to hit a baseball, but all of the people in here who are claiming that everyone would go 0 for 600 are crazy.

Life run good
I've seen the rope in question first hand, and while I have played a little golf in my time, I would doubt that it was as long as 100 yards. I'd say 1.5 football fields was probably more accurate. Congrats on getting the cat back though.

OT vs US Women National Teams
Based on how many members of OT there are (many being former college and professional athletes), I'd say there would at least be a chance in Basketball and Hockey. I know there are quite a few solid soccer players out there as well, but I'd say this is the one sport we'd have the least chance of winning. I don't know why everyone keeps saying we'd have no chance in softball/baseball. First of all baseball would be a no brainer because I haven't seen any women throw anywhere near 90MPH from a mound. I would be fairly certain there are at least a few OTer's who have played professionally, ...

My failtastic baseball tryout that ended my dream of being a pro ballplayer
BRAG POST ALERT!! Good stories. I was actually fortunate enough to dream of playing professional and actually did it. Was drafted by the San Diego Padres (also my boyhood team I rooted for) and played professional ball for 7 years. I got to workout with Tony Gwynn at old Jack Murphy Stadium, with the major league hitting coach, just the three of us. I still look back fondly on those days. I've played against guys like Jason Giambi, Raul Ibanez, Mike Sweeney among others. I have stood in the batters box and faced a 98MPH fastball. wtf Bud Selig? Baseball playoffs expanded to 10 teams?
I actually like the idea. Basically if you win your division you get an extra 3 days rest to set up your rotation, etc. The 4 wild card teams (2 from each division) basically have to battle it out in a 3 game series. It puts a premium on winning the division versus getting in as a wild card. But with one extra team getting a spot in each league, it keeps that many more teams in the hunt deeper into the season. This increases interest in the fan base, more people going to games, etc. I definitely don't think that MLB will ever go the route of the NBA, but 10 teams out of 30 making the post ...
