deep in $14500 rush rebuy, is this wrong play?
I think this was a standard play but maybe I just raise to 80k and fold to reraise leaving myself below 10 bbs, i dunno that just seems wrong to me. Or maybe at this level I'm jsut folding until I have very large hands I know I want to go with''' It just seemed I have to shove there with what's in the pot.....or would you even just try a minraise and then can fold''' thought I was gonna get the four figure i've been chasin but oh well, i'll keep grinding there was about 45 players left from over 2k at this point Full Tilt Poker Game #28502195769: $14,500 Rush Guar (Rebuy) (221439198), Table ...

Easy Fold?
my bad, just realized the limp he did in early position, the above posts have to be correct, as much as I know I might have done the same. It's basically like he is showing ace ace but I've done the same or worse shoves when realizing the same early position aces. Sometimes it's just hard to let em go

Bring back 135 mans
i usually play only one or 2 of the 4.40 rush at a time, and then sometimes have other normal mtt's on the side. always thinkin and debating about multitabling and volume but at the same time it seems I can do just fine at this pace, I started on Feb 1 and again came home tonite and just took 4th to move the roll along again, from $55-$690 now and I think my $1-$4.99 roi is even higher than that figure would represent (started first on blended bankroll article on this site). These 4.40 are great to grind once you get the roll from starting from scratch. No hate on more volume but just thought ...

Easy Fold?
that ones really tough, because people in the rush could easily play ak or jj the same way (hard with no reads). I think you just landed in a top spot, maybbbbe possible to fold but very hard in my opinion. But what do I know, I'm just your donk older brother LOL animallovinhick ftw!

if they took away these $4.40 on demand I would cry, just shipped a 2nd in another one, love these. I'll prob just keep grinding these and take shots along the way and eventually I'll get my bigger scores and go from there. on demand FTW! ::bubble bubble cough cough::

Bring back 135 mans
been grinding these, hit a bigger downswing than I thought possible but grinded it out and just hit 3 final tables, these are pretty soft. i hope they stay for good, on demand only makes the top prizes better. I started at $55 on feb 1 and am sitting at $450 plus my seat to FTOPs tomorrow for free and I woulda probably had more if I didn't take a bunch of shots and maybe took some time off during the down swing days. So just keep grinding it out and ride thru the downswings or take breaks and it will work out for you, i learned the hard way lol, good luck

FT in 2nd ever rush tournament
congrats, i busted 14th in that tournament and I'm still sick about it. Not sure if you put either of the 2 sickening beats on me that killed my huge chip stack (actually I'm pretty certain it wasn't you). Been on the worst run of variance in my life over past 4 days and thought I was finally going to get it back on track. The 120k pot where I hit a set of 5's and they hit runner runner straight after we got all in money in with A3 was a dagger in da heart lol congrats tho, was funny how big that game got cuz one red pro joined, usually its only 300 bucks

my ex girlfriends are all a bunch of crazy bitches and I'm not just saying this....one went to the loony bin and found me 8 years later but the other was the hottest half mexican girl you will ever meet I ditched them tho and I'm ready to find one of those rare "poker"girls that get it (maybe winning more will help) either way tho....besides the crazy.... mexican girls FTW!

blowing a chip lead
thanks for the words, I agree, there are about 2 hands at the end that are keeping me from being okay with it. I lost half the stack on 2 hands that were standard but then 2 hands that coulda been played differently. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. Im just hopin I get there soon....its a monkey I can't get off my back

blowing a chip lead
i will start off with this....sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am a micro grinder (45-400 person sng's) with small results due to personal BRM issues but doing okay on my new one. The one thing that has alluded me is the 4 figure score (i know, lame). I"m sure I would have had it by now but I've blown the bankroll numerous times back in the day. Well tonite, I was coming off one of the worst downswings of bad beats (losing 80% for about 50+ buy ins) and I jumped into a game a little above my bankroll for $26...the 15k knockout 6 man guarentee It had 800+ people and I was chipleader after the ...

the roi damage from taking shots
I started a new grind on a $55 deposit on full tilt starting Feb 1. I started with a blended BR of $1.10 45 man/$3.30 90 KO and then moved to $4.40 180 on demand rush. My account is now sitting at ~ $450. Along the way and currently I've been taking lots of shots in MTT's ranging from $5-$26 knowing I will move back to the grind and not just play until zero. I was reviewing my stats for this short period and it brought up some interesting questions I wanted to get some opinions on. Buy In Prizes Profit ROI ABI ITM ITM % $0 - $5($4.99) $1,041 $603 137% $2.47 33/178 19% $5 - $10 $7

a friendly warning
lol thanks, was nothin big, just a 6 buck omaha super turbo but when you are tryin to practice some sort of BRM, entering 4 instead of 1 can hurt. its all good tho, just weird that it saves it like that

a friendly warning
I learned this the hard way, with the new multi entry games, if you bought in 4 times to one tournament, full tilt saves that setting 4 u so when you just wanna register to a game and hit the usual register button you just bought in 4 times without looking. sucked and i'm not blaming them but now I know to look out, I just wanted one buy in but so used to opening it while playin other games and hitting register. i almost shipped the tourney on one of em but took sick beat in the money. oh welllz....just thought i'd send a lookin out post

is the mummy -EV on tilt?
maybe he is not -EV LOL, i just shipped a $2.20 super turbo with 130 players for $95 (obv stupid mini brag) and cashed in a $26 super turbo that i was freerollin on bounties (lousy bad beat to take me down! LOL) but maybe there is more to this playing good thing after all so sad i have to brag about a $95 score but I literally thought it might be impossible to win a super turbo..... go mummy!

moving all in from small blind deep in tourney
if i'm under 10 bb than yeah that's a no brainer. I'm saying moments at say a 90 man final table where the blinds are big because it's a turbo or semi deep in any MTT, it gets folded all the way to sb and i know they arent short stacked and aren't committed but medum stack and I'm about 15-25 or more blinds and I just shove ATC, I figured they have to have something to call but I also see how it looks like a steal. Just amazed how often lately they wake up with a huge hand, usually in my big blind i'm sittin on 7, 4 off also antes are involved obv

moving all in from small blind deep in tourney
for some reason i always think this is smart if I'm semi short-medium stack, I move in and try to take blinds and antes that almost double, at least add 25% to my stack, but lately (almost always) it seems that the big blind is somehow magically sitting on a pocket pair, big ace or pocket aces as the last 3 tournaments went. Is the move terrible'

Official Bankroll Management Thread
So I'm about to embark on another try at self discipline (I keep telling myself one day I will learn not to implode and I refuse to give up) and this time I'm going to stick to the blended bankroll approach from this article: / Quick question for you guys on if I'm interpreting this correctly: Starting with a $55 deposit on full tilt; If I start by multi tabling 6 games at a time using the above chart, would I start with 6 $1.10 45 mans and the second I get above $55 I have 5 going plus 1 $3.30 and then the second my account is anywhere between $86 and $120 I have 2 $3.30 and 4 $1.10 ...

$1.10 45 man ROI calculaton question
I'm starting a new low grind to build a new roll and learn discipline and better myself as a player. $2.20 180 man and even the $4.40 are what I've been using to turn my $20 into $100 but I know to stick with BRM the $1.10 is what I'd have to play. If you OPR "Broken Side" for last 120 days that will give you my new grind on Pstars since I haven't played there in a long time to help with any advice. I don't like max multitabling but I am feeling okay grinding 4-6 tables on my 32 inch tv right now and I'm debating would it be smart to try a $1.10 45 man grind exclusively for a bit because I ...

Aggresive strategy advice late in 180 MTTs
good advice, I'm going to try and watch a little more on what I push with My only concern is does this information really work for my situations in those turbo games' because almost everyone becomes a short stack very quickly when the blinds skyrocket, so I'm going to be at 12bb along with everyone else when it hits 18 players or so unless I have built a huge stack. So at the point you are basically saying push anything on button and cut off exceptt fold ace rag and king rag suited and hands like that no matter what'

Aggresive strategy advice late in 180 MTTs
hahaha trust me, i never play 9, 2. I was playing unusal to test what I was reading in certain guides/threads. They were suggesting to shove ATC to steal blinds when you are the bigger stack compared to these small/medium stacks and you are the first to enter the pot. In my usual game I definetly steal blinds but I try to wait for semi decent hands and the right spots. My theory was I would hit the top 3 spots more often playing this hyper aggressive style but with my recent experience today it seems like I'm just blowing spots that I usually would have went on to a decent score. The thread ...
