Not Quite Thread Worthy - May 2013 (NSFW) Yes. Build record, lots of time, they are smashing cans and suffer no damage. Lots of times, the smaller organizations they are fighting in may do like a one night tournament where they fight multiple times. Or often, they just need the money and stay incredibly active in order to earn some cash. If you had aspirations of going somewhere in the sport, and had actual talent, no sense in waiting 3 years to build a 10-0 record over scrubs if you aren't suffering damage (which you shouldn't be if you hope to make it to the UFC/Bellator/WSOF/Dream, etc) EDIT: And from what Jay just posted, his ... A very young team with a solid core and a bright future. I think they're a tough out for everyone in the East, Boston just dug deeper and found that gear while a young team had no counter. *** Official NHL Round 1 Playoff Thread*** If it's the sieve version of Price from the last 10 games of the season who was giving up 6 goals a game then obviously he has zero shot to start (and then I'd say Luongo is the favourite). I'm assuming, all things equal and everyone displaying atleast average form, Price will get the nod. The exception, in my mind, is if Luongo goes somewhere (cause he's obviously getting traded in the offseason), and has a "FUCK YOU VANCOUVER" mode, and just crushes, then I think he'd get it. I'd say the same for Reimer. I'd guess Price and Luongo are virtual locks to be on the team, and I'd say that one of them will be in net. Given everyone is sour on Bobby Lou these days, Price has to be the favourite. No idea who Hockey Canada feels is worthy of the 3rd tendy spot, might go with a young guy, or they may go back to Fleury if he finds his game. When Fleury is on his game, he is absolutely prime. Aside from the fact that I'd never bet something so far away, I would also bet it, he doesn't have much competition and he's an elite goaltender. Alternative: MA Fleury (consistency not there), Cam Ward (injury prone - hasn't been able to showcase himself), Brodeur (old), Luongo (probably the biggest threat, if he gets hot, might get the nod cause of experience). Other then that, you got guys like Reimer, Holtby, and Corey Crawford - not sure any of them would ever be favoured to grab the job over Price, unless they absolutely went ... Posted in: Off Topic |
