What do you know about live 1/2?
I agree with this alot, plus c-betting with A high in this game is not that profitable either, at least where i play its not. Also, flatting with big hands (aa, kk, qq) when a agro drunk donkey is yet to act behind pays off well in this game.

Final Table Sweat Event #55 $50K buyin Player's Championship
since i didnt have the hand history in front of me and was typing from work, I couldn't remember whether it would have been a 3bet or a 4 bet, just plain couldn't remember how many times it went back in fourth. I guess i could have said, why didn't he just raise, but whatever whats done is done. While I have never met the man, I have followed his career over the years from wsop, wpt, and High stakes poker. Iv also read his books which are just full of terrible advice. After watching his last performance on HSP it left no doubt in my mind that phil is just a terrible card player. He may be ...

Final Table Sweat Event #55 $50K buyin Player's Championship
Agreed however there is no need to re shove 50+ BBs in that spot. Has phil never heard of three betting' maybe four betting' but to reshove 50+ just seems more then spewy IMO.

Final Table Sweat Event #55 $50K buyin Player's Championship
After watching phil on HSP and his performance last night, I would say your just wrong. He played like a donky after he lost the first Draw. And its just so LAME, then he steams off at that point. H still had rass at somthing like 5 mill vs 15 mill. He had an oppertunity to whittle him down again and wait for a spot that worked. Instead he spewed his chips all over the table on absurd draws. he could have check called to hit the draw and when rass was pot commited lowered the boom. Not that hard a concept to wrapp ones head around. Phil may have been "Best tourny player" 9 years ago. but I ...

Final Table Sweat Event #55 $50K buyin Player's Championship
LOL, I think i spelled it out in my post above. Phil showed great skill in the way he was able to get rass to value bet w his KK, when phil had a straight, NO ALL IN, just a called value bet and a big huge pot. Like I said I would have played the same when stacks were, 2mill vs 16 mill. But after that, Phil Donked it off. period. I stayed up to watch the whole thing last night and just felt dissapointed for Phil. I really believe that the last two all ins where steams. Phil had displayed an ability to whittle rass down and he failed after he lost with his flush draw. he should have switched ...

Final Table Sweat Event #55 $50K buyin Player's Championship
Ug all you people saying phil's game was so great I just don't understand. I mean he was playing great until the 2nd Allin w flsuh draw. Someone explain this to me. I get the first all in with the flush draw, rass with 2 m and phill has 16 m. Fine I get it and would have probably done the same. However two hands later, he gets rass all in again this time w a flush draw AGAIN, and doubles up this guy. now stacks are at phil w 52.9% of chips in play and rass w 48.1% of chips in play. How on earth can phill get all in 2 hands later with yet another flush draw' whats his thought process' "Oh I ...

Facebook Poll: Hellmuth in Final 9 of $50K WSOP Player's Championship
I used to be just like, until last night. I watched Phil Donk off the chip lead twice heads up with w nothing more then a flush draw. The first one ill excuse, phill had 16 mill to rasts 2 mill fine i except that shove. but the next two should be placed in a book for players to study under a chapter titled, "How not to Donk off your chip lead in the most important tournament of your life". PHils an idiot Dusty S is right, Don't listen to Phil hellmuth.

And where do you get this info from''' I have not read any articles calling it a POS, its the damn future oif computing for many if no most end users that aren't multi tabling. To awnser OP, most likely not since most of the poker rooms dont have Google apps versions of there clients. the chorome book is just Google Apps built into a computer. its not just a browser but the full set of apps offered through Google..

Lazy Online Players
Been following this thread: / since it started and I have got to say it is really disheartening whats writtenthere. Its post after post of people talking about playing xbox and playing xbox and playing farking Xbox. The majority of the folks in this thread just sound like lazy ass fools . some don't, some have gotten day jobs others are going back to school etc etc. The reason this gets me so much is it seems like a common thing amongst alot of online players, not the guys like Mormon or anyone in the top 100 here on P5s but its just seems to echo a laziness that's got to be generational. ...

***Official*** "Where i'm playing now" thread (U.S. players)
what did he say'''' ass for doyles room, I got the bug last night and dl-ed doyles room. software sucks its horrible u can multi table but its slow and u cant mini or max windows like on PS., however depositing was a snap took like 15 minutes and i had my account loaded. Games were soft with 50%-75% of player in on the flop in the 6max cash games. The mtt schedule is terrible, at best its similair to UB but still not close. on the flip side of that, the fields are small and u probably have a better chance of shipping one here then on say PS or FTP. SNGs dont seem to fill here. Gonna check ...

Saw the the stupidest lay down Live cash game
thats not the worst play in the world. Folding AK to a preflop all in''' I mean serisly, Iv folded AK twice in a tourny with 10bbs and was able to take the whole tourny down at the end. AK is the most over rated hand in holdem poker. Period. Now folding AA IDK about that one thats pretty weird. I remember matasow talking about folding AA to all in pre flop also ivey said somthing about it as well but in the context of a MMT freeze out. Now a cash game NEVER NEVER NEVER would i fold AA to a preflop all in. AK i could still get away from depends on the player however. Just my 2 cents.

Poker journey hits a major road block
Decide if you want to play tournys, MTTS or SNGS, or cash games. Then from there find a coach. they will help u out alot. Also get holdem manager or poker tracker that will help u see alot of holes in your game, the hands ur stacking off with. also are reviewing Hand histoys' thats another key thing that will help ur game a great deal. One of the problems I see at micro stakes all the time is "good players" stacking off with top pair top kicker against someone who is showing strength and obviously has a set or two pair. Not saying that's how u play just saying its what iv seen.

No way to beat the microsteaks
No offenses. but if you think just because they call all the way down with crap that ur some how gonna beat the high stakes u are in a very tough road ahead. 1st. 9-10 suited is not that bad when getting 2-1 on ur money. I'm calling this all day in a cash game. 2nd, u bet 1/3 pot on the flop shoulda bet more close to 2/3 - full pot, U have Trips for gods-sake, what are u afraid of' a check raise' there's not reason to keep the pot small here and u want to charge that guy to draw to his straight. 3rd. I mean whats the with the 1/2 pot sized bet on the turn' Y not shove' why not closer to 6 ...

AA Live Cash Game
Wow, this is an awesome thread. my 2 cents. This guy above is right. 3 bet the flop. if they come over with a 4 bet, then it seems like a folding spot due to his limited 4 bet range. 4 betting here would feel more like a set or two pair. player 3s flat pre is just retarded, but i know what hes doing there. hes short. figure the pots big and u might get it all in. so in his mind if no A or K hits the flop hes probably going all the way with it. The only thing that REALLY bugs me, is player 2 with KK here. It like how does he not 3 bet U pre' its just so confounding. is he one of those nitty ...

You only have $7 ,,,,,what to play?
You never clariefied, are u a cash gtame player or a tourny player' One thing that i noticed when i was starting out with a roll that size (BRAG: never deposited here Won some cash through FREEROLLing) is that the $1 SNGs have a retarded rack and most anything at that level except maybe the 1.10 mtts r ok but ur paying so much (in relation to ur BR). i remember last year about this time i talked with jennafear about this, and her suggestion, atleast for me (I play on stars) was to grind the .1/.2 cash games. with 7 bux u got 7 short buy ins (50BBs) or 3 normal buy ins. the rake sux belive me ...
