Poker and College.
it just depends on what you do outside of classes. if you are struggling with classes+poker and nothing else, you're doing something wrong. schedule your classes as much as you can on 1-3 days and use the other days for mtts. it only gets difficult once you start factoring in clubs/activities/other jobs/parties/social life/etc. Like i know for myself, last year i had a lot of spare time because my class schedule was ideal and i sorta bailed on some of the things i was involved in to play poker. but this year im gonna be pretty swamped with stuff and i'd be lucky if i can even play sundays ...

WCOOP ME doesnt count for PLBs?
p5s has been doin this recently for awhile. some new scores show up not counting for sliding PLB and after a few days it starts counting

yea scoring was pretty bad in the beginning. but it got better in the second half of the comp and seems to update every 12-24hours. it should be accurate.

Tournament grind and food
during a "half" session aka evening set or w/e, i just eat before and then maybe have some kinda snack during a break, and just eat whenever i finish. sometimes i end up eating "dinner" at like 1AM cuz of this but as long as you dont KO right after, its ok. on full days, i just eat a bunch of small things throughout the day. every 2-3 breaks i find something to eat that i can obv make within 5min: cereal, sandwich, instant noodles, etc. And then usually i have 1 thing in advance like subway or pre-cooked meat for a bigger meal in the middle/end of the day. and then eat after i finish if ...

Do most pros hate poker and the lifestyle around it?
it bothers me when pros are saying that they have little to no social interactions cause theyre playing 12 hour days for 5 days a week. um what are you doing on the other 2 days' and if you are doing it right, you certainly have enough financial leeway to take more days off and socialize. and even on nights you do poorly and the session ends early, you can still go out. yea it's tougher and takes some more work on your part to find good times to hang out w/ certain people that are working regular jobs but that's the beauty of being able to take a day off whenever you want. yea it kinda sucks ...

it's so situational from person to person that you just have to figure out how poker fits into YOUR life and make the best of it. there are way too many factors, from poker aspects to life aspects to individual aspects, that it's impossible to determine a general consensus. and for OP, no i don't think you have to play full days for 4-6 days of the week to live. in fact, i think almost everything in wein's article is wrong, in the sense that it applies to him but doesn't have to apply to anybody else at all. same thing with believer's post.
