Re(3): Weird cash game hand...
if you bet more on the flop (~4), this hand would have been a lot easier to play. as played you're pretty much committed to that river, as he's got less than $9 behind him. i'd probably just put him in.

they obviously can't enforce this...it's probably just a way to get everyone that spits out sharkscope stats in the chat box to shut up.

Re(3): ram vaswami's response to that golf game with ivey
He's been taking lessons from a renowned pro for awhile. And an actual handicap wouldn't even matter, because if he's this much of a scummer on the golf course he'd probably be posting fake scores.

Re(1): Golf ? - Mizuno MP60 - good for what handicap?
Depends how you hit the ball. Are you scoring from a great driving/short game' These irons are a little more forgiving than the 32s or 67s, but may give you a little trouble if you're not a decent ball-striker.

Re(8): Islanders win the cup
I'm a Rangers fan, and I'm not. This is a good team with a lot of power up front, but a little thin in their 3rd/4th lines. They're very beatable if: 1.) you stay out of the box - that powerplay is nasty, you never want those Kovalchuk bombs getting kicked out to Marian Hossa on the halfboards, and 2.) you get a guy in front of Kari Lehtonen. Atlanta's gameplan should be to crowd Lundqvist as often as possible, and get long shots from the point through mulitple screens. If NYR is able to roll 4 lines consistently throughout the series, Atlanta is going to have a tough time. I still say 6 or ...

Re(2): winning multiple sunday million sats.
lol, a cash game player can't win a sat to save his life' i think most cash game players can realize that when playing tournaments, they're not sitting there with 100 bb's and no ability to rebuy.

Hmm after he calls your 6x raise, i'd venture to say it's probably an A. Why are you check calling the turn and check folding the river'

Depends on the degree. Getting an engineering degree from a top 10 school is going to be harder than making 75k in my opinion.

Re(1): When to cut off a friend, and what to do when you loan money
First of all, your buddy Joe is a losing player with a gambling problem. Second, you are not a bank and do not know how to properly apply interest to a loan. Even still, everyone has to remember that your friend AGREED to these conditions. He is your friend however, and there's no better way to lose a friend than to go mafioso on him. Charge him 5 or 10% and stop loaning him money.

Re(3): My little brother lost 10% of my role
Everyone who says its his fault - you're not really accomplishing anything by flaming the OP for something he admitted to. As for OP, you're lucky you only lost $200, but use this event to teach your little brother about the game and the value of money in relation to poker - or for that matter, the value of a dollar, period. Make him pay you back, of course, but also show him that money on a gambling site is in fact real money, by making him read horror stories of people losing their entire net worth to online gambling. This will reinforce the fact that playing poker online is serious and ...
