change in structure to the Stars Million hey all, some of you may have known about this already, but a couple of weeks ago i lobbied stars to change the structure to the million-- specifically, to slow it down a touch and add antes. well, they listened, and starting next week, they'll have a new structure for the million in place. here's a link to their post on 2+2 explaining it: #Post9688619 personally, i'm excited. i think the will bring an element of skill back into the tournament that had been previously pushed aside in favor of big preflop clashes. the slower structure should leave everyone deeper stacked and the antes will ... Re(4): twoplustwo vs P5's " I look at 2+2 as the nerdygeek who needs to stay home all weekend crunching numbers trying tosqueeze out every last cent of profit and playing wow. P5s isthe site that says , ' ya ya, I make money playing poker, but aaatheres a high school kegger saturday lets crash that bitch!"" Actually, I spend my weekends going to bars and drinking nice alcohol that I bought with the money I made playing poker, which I couldn't have done without 2+2. But if you'd rather spend your twenties attempting to relive high school, to each his own, I suppose. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(1): Matasow on High Stakes Poker Matusow is such a cash donk it's not funny. He has a similar problem as Hellmuth-- their idea that their game is based on reading weak players and pushing them around or getting value out of them where most people don't-- that just doesn't hold water against other players. In Hellmuth's case, he thinks people are bluffing him too much. In Matusow's case, he thinks he can bluff people too much. Also, I cost Mike Matusow $1000 to Johnny Chan in a side bet at the WSOP. Good. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Find a worse call (I dare you) I saw a worse call today in UB $215 Aruba satellite. 2 tables left, loose donk minraises from MP at 150/300/25 with like 10k behind. I have 17k (table chip lead) and ATdd in BB so I call. Flop is 433. I check and he pots. I know based on how he's played that there's no way he hit that so I push. He takes like 2 seconds to call with... KJdd. GG 35BB stack Also there was a hand in the 1k WSOP rebuy where I bluffed an AA772 board with 86 and got called by 52. Ship it. Re(1): All-In BLIND first hand of WSOP Main Event if you really moved all in blind and i was in the BB i would call with anything that's a favorite over a random hand. maybe in the heat of battle i wouldn't have the heart to pull the trigger with Q7o, but i would certainly call with QT+, Q8s+, K9o+, K7s+, A5o+, A2s+, any pair (maybe not 33 or 22. maybe.) if i'm not in the BB the concern of other people behind me tightens my range Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Questions about LAG in MTT's and Cash Games..... I play poker. It's tough, but if you want to make it as a LAG you have to develop the skills to handle each situation independently. The whole reason people recommend you start off tight is because it makes your decision-making easier. You have to become comfortable recognizing the nuances of poker and all the variables that factor into each hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
