wtf, computer help unable to open any programs normally
download combofix, run it as administrator. Once that is done restart and then download and install malwarebytes and superantispyware. You had a virus that also is a browser hijacker and will redirect you to various places if you try to use the internet. All 3 programs will get rid of it. Make sure the programs are updated.

Questions for Atheists...
Here's the biggest problem I have with the bible and people that say the bible is god's word. Clearly there is some good stuff in there. But there are also things in the bible that I would consider morally wrong to an absolute such as slavery and genocide. Am I more moral than god' If those portions of the bible are not meant to be taken literally than how can you make a distinction between what is supposed to be taken at face value, and what is supposed to be considered a metaphor' Sorry AmSlim... I don't mean to go off on this tangent, but I felt compelled to post

Questions for Atheists...
I don't believe in a non-physical mind or consciousness. I believe I do control my thoughts for the most part, but there are also things about my thoughts that I cannot control based on instinct/subconscious. I suppose I would fall in to group number 2. My question is when people come up with these quasi-metaphysical definitions of god such as "god is light" or "god is a non-physical part in your mind" is that even if those were true, what can/should I do about that' Or are you simply saying that god planted this non-physical mind in all of us'

I think you're missing the point. For myself (and the vast majority of atheists) we are not saying that it's not possible that God exists, because this cannot or at least has not been proven as of right now... I agree with you on that much. As an atheist I am taking the null position because religion has not met its burden of proof. Would you find someone intellectually arrogant who did not believe that invisible space monkeys that can survive without oxygen are constantly orbiting the earth' You cannot know for certain that there are not, but based on evidence I do not believe that there ...

Getting a new laptop. Advice?
For anyone who is convinced that macs don't or can't get viruses... Wait a year or two... as macs continue to gain ground in the home computer market, virus developers and programmers will start to target them. Right now PCs still represent about 85-90% of the market, so it is essentially not worth their time to go after Macs. Mac popularity is skyrocketing though. I work at a university help desk and it amazes me how many macs come in without any sort of antivirus on them. Macs don't possess magical code that makes them immune... people just aren't going after them.

When you say other guys are not that far behind (like peyton) you really mean, only peyton. No active player in baseball is withing shouting distance of ripken because baseball players almost always get a few games off a year.

How is this even a debate' I really don't get it. A buddy of mine was trying to convince me that it was Cal Ripken Jr. and I just can't take him seriously. For 20 years, 40ish times per game for 16 games/season (about 12,800 plays) Favre has had 11 guys who are trying to put Favre on the sidelines, come after him with everything they have, every single play. Favre has played with sprains, bruises, and broken bones. Favre's streak is one of the most impressive records in sports history.
