PokerStars Steps Question....... I don't play the steps normally, but I ran a 3 PPS hyper-turbo Step 1 seat up to a step 4 ticket. I know I can use it to enter the Million, but I generally don't have that kind of time to play that long of a tourney. Re:List the top Five features you wish every online site had I miss the "mini-view" that UB used to have. I tend to multi-task while on-line and liked being able to stack 5 or 6 of those on one edge of the screen easily and still surf or whatever. I realize I might be the only one. Live Play Bankroll Question I was able (read lucky enough) to win a live tournament over the weekend and now have about $1,000 in my live game bankroll. I am primarily a limit player of hold-em as well as Omaha/8 or HORSE when I can find it spread. (I rarely play NL unless it is in a freeze-out tournament.) Generally speaking, what kind of limits should I/can I be playing where $1,000 can withstand the normal swings' NOTE: I usually play $3/$6 or $5/$10 limit HE and $5/$10 limits on the Omaha/8 & HORSE. Depositing On PokerStars Question After many years playing only on UB (yeah, yeah, I know.....I KNOW!) I am going to switch over to PokerStars. My question is this, I do not have a major credit card that I can use to make a deposit on there. Will pre-paid credit cards "like Green Dot, etc" work on this site' I know they do/did on UB, but haven't had to deposit there for a long time. Re(1): Ultimate Bet Points UB used to give point in hold 'em games to all players in a raked hand, but changed it to where you have to have put money into the pot (either a blind or bet) to receive points. Makes it VERY slow to earn points. If you are good at other games you have a better chance to earn points quickly. Well, quicker anyway. Any game with an ante like Razz, 7-Card Stud or 7-Card split 8/b means you qualify for points virtually every hand. The problem here is that it is often difficult to find a lot of players in these cash-games. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Vegas Advice Needed I am going to be doing a bit of a hit & run trip out to Vegas. I will be flying in on the evening of the 9th (Wednesday) and leaving around noon on on the 11th (Friday). Does anybody know of some good, but economical tournaments to play in' Or "soft" low limit/no-limit games' I'm only bringing around $500 for poker, so keep that in mind. Posted in: Off Topic |
