Re:Pokerstars - Please Fix Your Timebank!!!! Agreed. It is ridiculous that you lose your timebank w/out requesting to use it. The fact that a tournament could be lost down the stretch do to not having a timebank becuase poker stars can't use the millions of dollars they have to fix the problem is a joke. Please fix this problem poker stars: WE DON'T WANT TO USE OUR TIMEBANKS UNLESS WE REQUEST IT. I Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 500 sit and gos under my belt - Review/analysis of my stats and advice appreciated! Your ROI is great, and you have a large enough sample size that it appears you are a winner! hopefully you have some sort of a bankroll now and you can move up the chain a little bit. For my bankroll, i only play SNGS that i have 100x the buy in for. GLGL. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Slow Playing AK out of postion I personally rarely slow play AK, and if i do its with full intention of reraising preflop against an aggressive player who is in late position or the blinds. a spot i find this works is when the donk or loose player limps at the table and then you simply call behind him. now the aggressive player tries to scoop the pot and you come over the top. you can also try this play with AA, or KK. i believe sklansky calls this "second hand low." in a tournament, when the blinds get high, AK is just too weak to slowplay, you need to get the chips already in the middle. i am however, a big fan of ... Re(2): Idiot runs his mouth in local newspaper - How should I respond? agreed bass, that is another problem here. whoever wrote the first article doesn't even know what the WSOP is. an ignorant response to an article that is written by someone who is ignorant about poker and what it takes to be professional poker player. another thing i might do here is talk to the person who wrote the first article and point out some of the mistakes made so it hopefully doesn't happen again. Re(2): Idiot runs his mouth in local newspaper - How should I respond? SC, wow this is a tough spot. first of all i'd like to say that although we only hung out once or twice in vegas while i was living at drys and zangs place, i have much respect for you and consider you a genuine person and great example of a poker player with a good character. for this guy to attack you like this is unbelievable. for him to attack your parents is even worse. your father has provided you with an education, something my father has done for my and i'm sure you are, like i am, greatful for that. but, you make your own decisions in life, and your decision to play poker is nothing ... Re(4): JJProdigy I spent the summer in vegas living with THE__D__RY, Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi, and DEEZZZNUTS. i met SCTROJANS, INTEVENTION, and other top online pros. THEY ARE NOT CHEATING. I am not cheating. This thread is getting out of hand. the top online pros are not cheating, they have absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose. JJ did not win cause he was cheating. he won cause he was fucking good. yeah he won a little more cause he was cheating, but who cares. he lost plenty of money because of it. in my experience discussing collusion with people you are really not gaining a huge edge. the same ... Re(2): Stars 300....weird spot I really think this is a fold here. i've played with ship, and i know he's aggressive. but he's already shipped it on you twice, so he knows you know he's a move maker. you don't have a ton of fold equity, so he knows you are going to be calling with a wider range of hands which makes his range of hands smaller. Given your stack size you can fold and still have a nice stack, where as you call and lose and you are crippled. i don't think ship is going all in with anything less than a pair, A10 or better, and maybe KQs - the only hand you beat. fold and wait for a better spot, get him to ship ... Re(3): Is this a +EV shove? i think risking almost 16bbs and over half your stack is too much here. it also depends on how tight the players in the blinds are. if they are not going to reshove without a hand, then a normal size raise is the correct play. make your hand look stronger than it is, shoving here makes you look failry weak. however if you know you are going to get repopped if you make a normal size raise then a shove may be ok. you also mentioned how you needed a stack... giving them a move to reshove with a worse hand and then calling is another way to get chips, althogh riskier since you'll only be slightly ... Re(4): What the F Mulligan Tourney Agreed. Brundaddy has balls (just ask the ladies at the Rhino), and is not afraid to go for a stack. also after talking with him he was able to get a read on you. in my experience an insta all in is usually not that strong and i think he was comfortably able to put you on a draw. As D__RY said, the math adds up to a call. you played the hand just fine, and half the time you'll be the one to stack up in that spot. ~CS Posted in: Poker Discussion |
